Coco Rocha's Vacay Takes Over The CFDA's Instagram

Plus the good news about UV lamps, Rebecca Minkoff's NYFW fix and more of the top stories of the day
• Where do models go to power up and prep for New York Fashion Week? If they're anything like "The Face" judge Coco Rocha, they jet off to Greece. Rocha made the rest of mega jealous by posting a bunch of high-watt photos of her vacay on the Council of Fashion Designers of America's Instagram. Of course, Coco looks gorgeous and poses like a rock star in every pic -- proof that models are never really off duty. (Check out her awesome "designer" tee in the pic, too.) [Source]

• Three separate studies confirm that UV nail lamps are safe. So go get that wacky end-of-summer ice cream cone manicure, you nut! [Source]

• Rebecca Minkoff's secret to surviving NYFW? "Think Thin bars are my go-to. I'm starving and I don't have time to eat so I keep them in my purse," said the designer. "They have 20 grams of protein!" Also, Minkoff loves her Diet Coke and gets by during fashion week on pot after pot of hot coffee. So yes, the fashion diet is real healthy. [Source]

• Surprise, surprise! A new study from the University of Florida says that men may experience a dip in self-esteem when their partner succeeds. "It makes sense that a man might feel threatened if his girlfriend outperforms him in something they're doing together, such as trying to lose weight," said study author, Kate Ratliff, PhD. "But this research found evidence that men automatically interpret a partner's success as their own failure, even when they're not in direct competition." How twisted is that? [Source]

• How friggin' cute? Paul Brockman has been married to his wife Margot for 56 years, and over the years, he's purchased more than 55,000 dresses for her. That's right: 55,000. Here's the thing: Margot doesn't want 'em. Never has. And even after she told him she didn't want the garments, he continued to buy them. Secretly storing them in garages, closets and eventually shipping containers. "If there was a dress that I liked, I could visualize what she would look like in it. And I had to have it," explained Paul. "Even if it was the wrong size." After the couple's daughter discovered the extent of Paul's hoarding, she began working with him to downsize the collection, which is now available for purchase via their Facebook page. [Source]
