"It makes sense that a man might feel threatened if his girlfriend outperforms him in something they're doing together, such as trying to lose weight," said study author, Kate Ratliff, PhD. • How friggin' cute? Paul Brockman has been married to his wife Margot for 56 years, and over the years, he's purchased more than 55,000 dresses for her. That's right: 55,000. Here's the thing: Margot doesn't want 'em. Never has. And even after she told him she didn't want the garments, he continued to buy them. Secretly storing them in garages, closets and eventually shipping containers. "If there was a dress that I liked, I could visualize what she would look like in it. And I had to have it," explained Paul. "Even if it was the wrong size."
