A final etiquette frontier was reached this weekend, when the long-running advice columnist Miss Manners was asked a fairly risque question about boob jobs. A letter-writer wrote in inquiring after what to say when a coworker returns to work after having gone through elective breast surgery.

"What is the proper thing to say to a co-worker who has just had breast augmentation done by choice?" writes the puzzled co-worker. "It will be obvious that she had this done. Some of us who work in the office with her don't know what to say once she comes back to work."

Miss Manners, no doubt rolling her eyes at the question, had this to say: The less you say, the better. Don't reference her bigger chest. Instead, simply say something like, "glad to see you back." And try not to stare too much. [Courier-Journal]
