The New MAC Lip Crayon Will Have You Coloring Well Within the Lines

The first-ever lip crayon from the Canadian company is pretty enough for pictures
If your idea of heaven is a brand new, big box of Crayola Crayons (with the built-in sharpener of course), your inner little girl and/or artist is gonna be more than a little stoked by this latest bit of beauty buzz.

At long last, MAC has released a lip crayon.

In an inspired design decision, the new Patentpolish Lip Pencil twists up to provide for a tidy application and no sharpening (because unlike with Crayolas, sharpening makeup is a major drag) and the formulation -- not too matte, not too glossy -- goes on smoothly and provides long-lasting hydration. You get the shine and color of a gloss with the precision of a pencil. What's not to like?

Available at mac.com now, and in stores on April Fool's Day, the $20 crayon comes in 12 shades ranging from "Innocent" nude and "Fearless" fuchsia to "Hopelessly Devoted" wine and amethyst-y "Sultana" -- there's a Spring 2014 on trend color option for every personality preference. Coloring book sold separately.
