Mind = Blown. You Will Never Guess What These Baby Booties Are Made Of

As a new mom, I once spilled a measly 1 oz. bottle of breast milk -- and cried. Not just cried, sobbed. That stuff was liquid gold and a somewhat painful hassle to get. Plus, every drop equaled another future flu my son would dodge/super power he would develop. And now it was ruined.

So when I read about researchers in the UK turning breast milk into these miniature baby booties, I thought my eyeballs might explode.

Researchers used "simple kitchen equipment" to turn a donor's breast milk into a plastic-like material, which they then molded into these (well, you have to admit) damn cute booties. At just an inch in size, they're not exactly usable. So why'd they do it? Turns out it's not to torture me, but to bring attention to World Breast Milk Donation Day this Sunday.

Shock factor 10, true -- this'll definitely get people riled and talking. Just check out some of the responses from our Facebook fans when we posted about the booties below.

What do you think? Is this a dumb stunt or something that actually might get the word out about breast milk donation?
