Check Out Melissa McCarthy's Glam Elle Cover

Plus Gretchen Carlson goes makeup-free, Rihanna in the real world, and more of the top stories of the day
• Holy smokes! We can only imagine that Melissa McCarthy would say something hilarious and probably unprintable about her November Elle cover. McCarthy is one of six women -- along with Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, and Naomie Harris -- featured in the special Women in Hollywood issue. McCarthy looks incredible in a gorgeous Marina Rinaldi coat, though the Fug girls wonder if the coat is kind of a cop out on the part of Elle. "Next to these other covers -- Shailene Woodley is in underwear; Cotillard, a sports bra -- I kind of can't believe they put the plus-size actress on their cover BURIED INSIDE A GIANT COAT." What do you think? [Go Fug Yourself]

• Gwyneth Paltrow's got some pretty high standards -- it doesn't matter if you're Michael Kors -- she's probably not going to let you get away with some weird off-the-shoulder mesh design, okay? [Styleite]

• Well, well, well, just what we've been waiting for: The personal care collection Emily and Tony launched what they're cheekily calling a "Down Under Cream" just for guys. It's supposed to be used to treat dude-related "not-so-fresh feeling" related to a man's intimate areas. Early beta testers seem to give the product rave reviews. In the words of one man, "Keeps them pretty dry, smell fades. No tingling when applying." And that's all she wrote. [Refinery29]

Cosmo's editors tried to wear some of Rihanna's more out-there looks to the office, in an effort to see if her style translated to the real world, and wow ... it's something you've got to see. [Cosmopolitan]

• In recognition of the International Day of the Girl on Friday, Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson appeared on her 2pm show The Real Story without makeup. Carlson's no-makeup look coincided with a segment she did on the Brave Girl Alliance, a group of women who are working to send healthy images about female empowerment to women and girls. Jodi Norgaard, CEO of Dream Big Toy Company, also went makeup-free during the segment. "I think we are very brave to do this," she said. [Fox News Insider]
