The It Accessory Everyone Will Be Talking About

This limited edition must-have will be wrapped around the who's who of fashion elite
Not everyone can pull off British label Alexander McQueen's high-fashion concoctions (remember Lady Gaga's armadillo heels?), which is why the brand's easy-to-wear signature skull print scarf is so appealing. Since its introduction in 2003, the scarf has made appearances on everyone from Kate Moss to Kim Kardashian -- even Johnny Depp has been snapped wearing one. While we'd love to get our hands on the classic, we have to admit we're intrigued by the new limited edition McQueen scarves designed by artist Damien Hirst.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of McQueen's signature skull print, Hirst created 30 designs that incorporate elements of his "Entymology" series of paintings into the skull theme. The scarves will be available mid-November at Alexander McQueen boutiques and online.

In case you're only familiar with Hirst's famously crazy exhibit featuring a real -- and fortunately dead -- shark suspended in a tank of formaldehyde, his "Entymology" paintings are also semi-weird (and strangely pretty) and showcase all sorts of once-alive creepy-crawlies in geometric patterns. Based on our recent experience, insect-inspired accessories are hit-or-miss (we're looking at you, Lanvin beetle printed high tops), but our spidey-senses are telling us that these are going to be a hit -- if you can afford the $476-and-up price tag.
