Marilyn Monroe's Plastic Surgery Records Up For Sale

Plus Marilyn Manson sans fards, MAC's holiday makeup collection, and more of the top stories of the day
• A Southern California plastic surgeon said he's behind the auction of plastic surgery notes that prove bombshell actress Marilyn Monroe underwent several procedures. Norman Leaf said he's selling the file, which includes a set of six X-rays, and donating the proceeds to help veterans in need of medical work. According to the documents, says Leaf, Monroe underwent a chin implant, "and it was made of carved bovine cartilage." Ew. "They didn't have silicone chin implants in those days." He says she had several other smaller procedures, too. The auction will be held on November 9 and 10, and is expected to garner anywhere between $15,000 and $30,000. [Reuters]

• Certainly someone we hadn't thought much of lately, but still a total shock: Marilyn Manson's "celeb without makeup" face is a sight to behold. He bares all during the new season of Eastbound & Down. The beautiful people? You decide. [E!]

• Somehow this makes total sense to us. Bad girl model Cara Delevigne might star in the newest Amanda Knox movie. The new film, titled Face of an Angel, is directed by Michael Winterbottom, and details Knox's 2009 Italian murder trial. It's unlikely that Delevigne would play Knox herself, since she's got barely an acting credit behind her, but hard-partying devious sidekick? Sure. [Fashionista]

• MAC's holiday collection is here -- and the theme seems to be Art Deco Gatsby-ish decadence. We'll take it. [Refinery29]

• Designer Richard Chai has put together a mighty fine capsule collection for Kate Bosworth's JewelMint jewelry line. Chai's aesthetic is rather industrial-leaning, with bracelets, necklaces, rings, and earrings giving off an edgy vibe. And the best part? Most pieces run around $30. [Fashionista]

• There's some harsh truth to the saying "never let them see you sweat: A study in the journal PLOS ONE found that when people smell sweat, it makes them question the confidence and abilities of others. In an experiment, researchers showed participants clips of women doing neutral activities, like doing work an an office, and pumped in three different kinds of sweat fumes into their space -- exercise, stress, and stress sweat treated with antiperspirant deodorant. The results? Men judged the women in the videos as less confident and less trustworthy when blasted with stress sweat smells. Well that's depressing. [YouBeauty]
