How to Look Stylish When You're Dressing a Baby Bump

Because maternity shouldn't equal muumuu
Pregnancy dressing is tricky business. By month six, you're about twice your normal size -- and growing -- so you can pretty much forget about wearing anything you already own. But nobody wants to shell out a small fortune on a bunch of clothes you may never wear again. While I love inexpensive cotton basics, a lot of the cheapie maternity options are made of synthetic materials that feel kind of gnarly -- not what you want to wrap around your body when you're creating life.

My go-to for maternity clothing is Hatch Collection. They have designs you can wear before, during and after pregnancy (because everyone -- even non-preggers ladies -- loves slouchy pants). And each piece is chic yet comfortable. Trust me, this isn't the stuff you hand down when you're done with it. You'll wear it for years.

I'm also a fan of the brand because they have a partnership with Every Mother Counts, a charity that focuses on maternal health in developing countries. You can look stylish and feel good about your purchases.
