Is Lindsay Lohan Making a Comeback?

Plus, a designer's phallic lawn art, BPA-free plastics on trial, and other news we're talking about today
• Is Lindsay Lohan making a comeback? After months of apparent negotiations, Lohan has agreed to a deal with Oprah's OWN Network to feature an eight-part series on her life for a whopping $2 million. Along with the cash, Oprah has given LiLo two assistants and a stylist. Lohan's mother Dina Lohan has commented, "If there's any mentor you could choose, there's nobody better than Oprah." We wish Oprah the best of luck. Source

• Would you like some estrogen with your water? We used to think that BPA was the only harmful chemical in the plastics we were using, but BPA-free plastics are under fire now, too. Turns out, plastic alternatives to BPA may contain the same harmful chemicals that mimic the effects of estrogen on the body. They're on trial right now in Austin, TX. We'll keep you posted. Source

• In people-who-have-too-much-money-news: Diane Von Furstenberg has a fabulous (albeit a bit phallic) giant statue of a lipstick on the grounds of her home. Just 'cause. Source

• Time for a short history lesson: The Tour de France, the prestigious annual bicycle race, turns 100 this year. An obvious sign of its old age? Its strict male riders only policy. Now, female cyclists want a chance at that yellow jersey and are petitioning to end the sausage fest once and for all. Source

• Calling all spin-addicts: Now you can get your fix while going to the movies. The newly converted Montauk Movie in Long Island is an indoor cycling studio by day called CinemaCycle, and a classic movie theater by night. Currently instructors are projecting music videos to keep the class pumped up, but owner David Rutkowski says the theater is planning to show 90-minute comedies to the morning spin classes soon.
