Leech Therapy Is A "Thing" In Brooklyn Now

Plus American Apparel is at it again, Jen Aniston's big food obsession, and more of the top stories of the day
• Leech therapy, as in the medieval practice of bloodletting, is now a bonafide thing in Brooklyn. Demi Moore also touted them during a 2008 appearance on David Letterman, saying a leech treatment helped to "purify her blood." Says Greenpoint Hirudotherapy practioner Andrew Plucinski, it's a good way to treat everything from migraines to sciatica. We will take his word for it. [Refinery 29]

• Jennifer Aniston, a woman many of us consider more than perfect, says she'd trade bodies with Gisele Bundchen in a heartbeat. She also admits she'd eat nachos even after they'd fallen on the ground. Are you our soul sister, woman? [Us Weekly]

• American Apparel just can't stop being American Apparel. They just unveiled a new campaign featuring a topless model named Maks, who happens to be a former Muslim, with the caption "Made in Bangladesh" (get it?). The text with the image explains that Maks is rebelling against her parent's conservative Muslim values and exploring what her own beliefs are, all while decked out in AA's High Waist Jeans and little else. You can actually see her nipples in the image, which will likely incense the traditional Muslim community, and is probably, no doubt, the idea. [Styleite]

• Praises be! Goth princess Lorde's going to be collaborating with MAC on a new collection. It'll be out June 5th. [Bellasugar]

• There's now a blood test that can predict, with 90 percent accuracy, the onset of Alzheimer's within the next three years. It's still in the testing stages, but it's considered a major step forward in dementia research. [BBC]

• Eataly is opening up a "theme park for foodies" in Bologna, Italy, which would feature more than 86,000 square feet of food labs, grocery stores and restaurants. An Italian food-themed amusement park? Sign us up. [NPR]
