Really Long Distance Window Shopping

Get a peek inside Gucci's flagship store in Italy
These days it seems like Google can give you an inside look at just about anything. The technology occasionally gives us a creepy, big-brother-is-watching feeling, but there are some developments we can't complain about. Namely, the new 360-degree tour of Gucci's flagship men's store in Milan's Brera shopping district.

Gucci is the first luxury brand to use Google Business Photos to offer an inside look at their stores. So if you stick to window shopping high-end designer brands, or you don't have the spare change to dash over to Milan for a little retail therapy, you can break out your phone, tablet or desktop computer to view the three-floor, 5,382 square foot store. To check it out, search "Via Brera, 21, 20121 Milano, Italy" in Google Maps, or click 'See Inside' on Gucci's Google+ page. The mobile app will use your phone's accelerometer to turn the view as you turn your device.

Sadly, this doesn't mean you can visually "shop" the store's merchandise whenever you like. The photos aren't a live stream and will stay stagnant, similar to photos on Google Streetview. Here's hoping the rest of our favorite couturiers hop on the coordinates.

Which store (any story, anywhere!) would you like to peek inside?
