Google Wants You to Know How Many Calories Are In Your Chow Mein

And they're adding a nutrition search function to help you find out
Google knows you're trying your best to eat healthy. You're an expert at reading food labels and comparing ingredients lists, right? But when it comes to finding out what's in your enchilada or how much sugar is in that grenadine, chances are you don't go the extra mile to look it up.

That's why Google is about to launch the most comprehensive (and easiest!) nutrition info search.

If you want to know how much fiber is in a tomato or even what kind of vitamin and mineral content you get from, say, carrot cake, you'll soon have your (easy) answer. Google says it will offer extensive nutrition information for more 1,000 fruits, vegetables, meats, and meals, with the goal of helping all of us make healthier food.

The project is set to launch within the next two weeks. Are you psyched to use the new search?
