The Digital Nail Kiosk: Because a Machine is So Much More Accurate than a Mere Mortal

Why hit the salon when you can simply stick your hands into a machine and walk away with the designs of your dreams?
Because we've quickly become a society hell bent on having instant gratification granted on every front (the 24-hour Cupcake ATM ring any bells?), more and more companies are concocting ways to eliminate the middle man (human beings) and replace them with machines. Enter Fingernails 2 Go, a highly specialized "printer" that employs state of the art technology to impart hi-tech designs onto your nails.

Borrowing technology from geniuses in Japan, the U.S. and Hewlett Packard, Fingernails 2 Go is a kiosk offering myriad design choices (you can even take a #selfie). You make your choice, insert one finger at a time -- so that the computer can accurately gauge the precise dimensions of your nail -- and in a matter of moments, the machine will transfer your design onto your nail "using water-based, non-toxic polish - the sort that we use day in day out and that comes off with a good remover."

The service costs about $25 (roughly $2.50 per nail -- you're not committed to doing all ten) and takes credit cards.

What'll they think of next?
