Wanna Make Big Bucks? Become A Beauty Vlogger

Top vlogger Michelle Phan reportedly made $5 million last year
We are clearly in the wrong biz. The big money? Beauty vlogging. Beauty vloggers are raking in as much as $5 million a year through YouTube clicks, endorsement deals and product placement arrangements. And they even have agents!

Vlogger Michelle Phan is on the top of the list, but there are plenty of others that are easily raking in six figures. "These are the new lifestyle personalities," says Lisa Filipelli of Big Frame, which is an agency that sells ads to YouTube. "The new Lauren Conrads of the world. The new Disney kids. It's a great new way for girls to get their start."

But don't quit your day job just yet. To get to the top of the vlogger pile, you've got to be friendly and approachable, and you can't be an obvious brand shill, because viewers won't trust you. Plus, you've gotta have reach. Kandee Johnson, who has hundreds of how-to videos, boasts more than 1.7 million subscribers, and Michelle Phan has more than 5 million (yes that's right, 5 million). And that's something that doesn't happen overnight. [Cosmpolitan]
