Whether you're an Alexa Chung fanatic or think she's kind of overrated, you have to hand it to her for retaining that "It girl" status far longer than most. For our part, we're just as infatuated with Alexa's effortless messy bangs, on-point makeup, and babydoll dresses as we were when she first hit the scene back in 2008 -- in fact, we happen to think she just gets better and better.

Hot on the heels of the release of her first book, It, and the launch of her signature mascara and eyeliner with Eyeko, Alexa is about to have a lot of spare time on her hands: her two years of playing host for nightly music show Fuse News have come to an end. But when one door closes, another opens, and it sounds to us like Alexa will be taking advantage of her newfound freedom by focusing some energy on designing her own collection. Um, a dream come true?

Chung said of her upcoming venture, "[This is] going to be the first opportunity where I haven't had a nine-to-five job ... So this will be the first time to actually sort of sit down and think about it ... I'm going to get it off the ground hopefully in 2014."
