Lady Gaga's Un-Retouched Versace Ad Images Hit the Web

More photos for the "Drastic Before and After" Hall of Fame. Question is, did they really have to go to all that trouble?
Photo retouch controversies are to the Internet-going public what folks like Toronto Mayor Rob Ford are to late a night talk show hosts -- a layup, a guaranteed point of interest and/or ridicule.

For whatever reason (I'm not a shrink) we all love to see oddly distorted limbs, impossibly tiny waists and barely recognizable celebs in "Photoshop fail" cases.

The site, notorious for having ponied up big bucks for Lena Dunham's un-doctored Vogue shoot proofs, has unearthed "before" images of the 28-year-old pop star posing for the popular print promotion.

From the pages of Gaga fansite, Gaga Fresh, came four photos that show the provocative singer looking like herself. In the ones that have been made all pretty and perfect she looks great but not like Stefani Joanna Angelina Germanotta. Is that the point? Is she supposed to look perfect-skinned and hella coiffed and otherwise Barbie-fied? If so, why hire Gaga to be the face of your brand in the first place? (Other than the fact that she's Donatella's BFF.)

Of course, these are rhetorical questions but, what's your feeling? Tell me yours and I'll share mine ...
