If you want to imitate the super shiny lacquered lip that will stay on, use a lip stain first, then apply lipstick and finish off with lip gloss. If you want a more natural lash look, use black mascara on your roots and brown on your tips of the lashes. When doing browns, never use black, even if your hair color is very dark. Instead, take a sharp brown pencil and feather on individual brows if yours are spare then finish with some brow powder, brushing through for a natural look.
