Breaks me out and leaves a film but removes makeup well

Love this product
I'm so happy micellar waters are finally gaining popularity and recognition in the United States. When I lived in France, I would use Bioderma micellar water religiously, and my skin loved it. Micellar water was so hard to get ahold of in the states, especially Bioderma. I saw this at the store and heard great reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try, as I love the Simple skin care line. I use it as a make up remover before heavy duty cleansing, or if I'm not wearing any makeup, I'll use it as my nightly cleanser. Its so good for the skin and removes makeup and cleanses excellently. One done and counting!
This was my first micellar water/cleanser purchase, so I really have nothing to compare it to. I had heard people rave about how great it is, so I splurged (the product is typically $6-$9) and got a bottle at Walmart. I love this stuff so much! I take a cotton pad and use it every morning before ...read moreI put on my makeup (just eyeshadow usually), but when I have stage makeup on after ballet performances, I remove my makeup with wipes and then use a cotton pad or two to remove the residue that didn't come off with the wipes. These remove all traces of makeup and don't leave sticky or oily stuff. Gentle & refreshing
I agree that this product might not work for super heavy makeup, but for everyday, it's great. I love how light it is and how clean and refreshed it leaves my skin. Not What I Expected
This is the first micellar water I've ever used so I don't have any references. I was intrigued because I'm lazy when it comes to makeup removal. It's a necessary evil that I have to contend with every night but this piqued my interest because of the simple (hehe), no-wash, one step process. When wearing lighter makeup, like bb cream or tinted moisturizer, I needed to use 3 soaked cotton rounds (u...read moresing both sides so 6 in total) before it came clear. Removing eye makeup is easy if all I'm wearing is concealer and eyeshadow; it doesn't do well with waterproof mascara or eyeliner. However, it doesn't sting my eyes when I get right up in there. I also find it helpful to remove errant eye makeup (like wonky cat eye liner) without disturbing the rest of my makeup.
