Not super long lasting but great pigmentation

I too have to agree with the other reviewers and say that I was disappointed with the amount of time this lipstick lasted on my lips; I put it on and it was absolutely beautiful and I believed it was going to stay put all day but noticed about two hours later that I could start seeing my natural lip color again and was super disappointed! Right off the bat I am mad at the fact that part of the na...read moreme is LONG wear and it definitely does not live up to that claim; aside from one of the biggest claims of this product there are a handful of pros of this lipstick. Too Faced came out with a Melted line and a Melted Metallic line; I am not a fan of the metallic line because it makes me feel like I am trying to get an 80s kind of look with just a basic nude eye and fun lip color and it's just not my style. I do not like that metallic look that that specific line has. However, the original line has some beautiful colors that I absolutely adore; I have the shade Melted Violet which is a purple pink shade with just the right amount of sheen to it so it doesn't not look metallicy but makes my lips look somewhat shiny and stand out. I love wearing this specific shade at night time or for date nights as it is not a color you would typically see in the day time or running errands (for me at least.) This is a great fall color that I can pair with a neutral eye or a dramatic eye and it will still be fun and it will stand out. The formula is creamy and with this specific applicator, it's like a spongy type so squeezing the tube just a little bit will produce plenty of lipstick for my entire lip. I was pleasantly surprised that the smell of this lipstick is quite nice as well as most lipsticks don't have a smell or kind of smell bad. The tube has Too Faced written in gold and a beautiful gold top that you twist to open; I have never had a sponge applicator like that but it doesn't irritate my lips or bother me when I use it so that's a nice change. The box does say intense color which I also agree with as the pigmentation of this lipstick is very strong; I don't need to reapply the lipstick over and over again to get a great color payoff which makes it a better value for my money as well. Aside from the HUGE con that this lipstick does not last for hours as the box says, this is an OKAY lipstick so I am rating it a 5. I have three other shades of these lipsticks that I have not tried yet however I already know the lasting power stinks but otherwise am nervous to try them! If you're expecting a long lasting lipstick as this product claims, you won't get it out of this lipstick; if you want great pigmentation and a creamy lipstick, this is the lipstick to try! HOWEVER, this is one of the most drying lipsticks I've ever came across. Putting chap stick on my lips after this product dries seems to be the only way this lipstick does not cause me irritation. I have been on the hunt for a long lasting lipstick that does not chafe my lips but this does not fit! It's very drying!

Don't know why it's called long wear...

This liquid lipstick slides around a lot and transfers easily so I don't know why Too Faced marketed this as "long wear" when it's really not. I like how it's not too drying. I wish they had better more wearable colors. Some were too bright or pastel clownish looking. The only color that I was drawn to was Chihuahua. I'm not a big fan of the packaging since the tip gets really messy but the produc...read moret comes out without a problem. The texture isn't too thick or watery. It kind of reminds me of the NYX Xtreme Lip Butters, only a little bit thicker like a "melted" lipstick. This lipstick didn't even worked as well as my other cheaper drugstore alternatives so I would say the price of this is pretty steep for a lipstick.

Not long lasting

I bought this in two different colors and I love both of the colors. They are very vibrant. I didn't find it was long lasting, it transfers very easily to cups and so on. I also found it feathered and ran.

Great color, but doesn't last!

I've used quite a bit of long wear lipsticks and this just didn't meet my expectations. I applied it in the morning along with my morning beauty essentials, and going through my day and by 4pm I felt that the color was fading. So, it was very frustrating to hear about long lasting wear when I needed to reapply for make sure the color was even. I still prefer my mac pro wear lastinglust lip colour. A must have!!!!!

This lipstick is great!

As other reviewers said, this lipstick has high pigment and it lasts quite a while, even through eating and drinking. I like it better than the Kat Von D liquid lipstick! The colour selection is quite nice too!

Very impressed by the actual long wear of this product

I was very hesitant to try this product but I finally bought it after reading many mixed reviews. I am very critical about long wearing lip products that will not crack or flake. This definitely did the trick and the color I got "pops" and is definitely a refresher of color. I also like to put my NYX gloss over it when I feel my lips are getting a little dry durint a night out.

Amazing pigment and long wearing what's not to love?

I purchased this lipstick in violet orchard and I am absolutely in love with it! It is creamy and easy to apply. The color is super pigmented, bright and matte. It really is long wearing and lasted the whole day.
