Guilty pleasure!

I know quite a bit about skincare and the reality is that exfoliating scrubs are not as effective as a BHA liquid (or cream) exfoliant, especially for oily, congestion prone skin. HOWEVER, with that being said, I know that many women LOVE scrubs, and I am one of them. As long as they are used in moderation (no more than once a week) it can be a good supplement to a skin care routine. They are cert...read moreainly not necessary, especially if you are using an appropriate exfoliant (AHA's tend to not be as effective as a BHA) and you could easily use a warm, damp washcloth in its place. But let's face it; sometimes a good scrubbin' just feels good! Plus it can really improve circulation and create a glow to the skin. I like this budget scrub for a few reasons; for one, the granules are fairly small (despite the fact that St. Ives considers it a more medium grit). Second, the fragrance, though totally unnecessary and not natural in the least, is fresh. If your skin is prone to irritation, I wouldn't recommend due to the fragrance and granule size, but this is a good, fun option to use (again, in moderation) and is certainly budget friendly. Another thing I like about it is that it is in a cream base. When I use it, I wet my face and use about a dime to nickel size - a little goes a long, long way! I then rinse and use my normal cleanser to make sure any residue from the cream is removed. I would definitely recommend as that "guilty pleasure!"

Such a nice smell

This is a nice medium exfoliator. It seems gentle enough to use a couple of times a week and the smell is wonderful!

Gentle yet effective!

First off, I love the scent of this scrub. The fresh, citrus smell leaves you feeling refreshed. The actual scrub is very fine which is perfect for sensitive skin. I feel like I'm getting a deep clean and exfoliating all the dead skin but it's still gentle enough on my face.

Fantastic for sensitive skin!

My skin is insanely sensitive; anything can irritate it so scrubs especially annoy it. But this scrub is gentle and smells great. I've also noticed a complexion change. I really do think it's improved the glow of my skin and definitely the evenness! Another huge benefit is that it's helped clear up my acne. I highly recommend it!

Gentle yet effective

I love this scrub! The exfoliating beads are small so it's gentle on my face, but still removes the dry, dead skin. The scent is wonderful too, light and refreshing. If it were a little bit foamy I would give it a 10, but it's a great creamy scrub.

Perfect consistency

St. Ives nailed it with this scrub! The granules are super fine so I feel like I can get a great exfoliation while only using a light amount of pressure.

Fresh and Fine

I enjoyed using this for the time that I had it but didn't impress me enough to repurchase it. I loved the smell but unfortunately the exfoliate were too rough for my face. However it did work well on the skin condition on my arms.

If you are looking for a mild scrub, you found it!

I love the smell of this scrub! You could almost eat it! Its not medium, its a mild scrub. I use it daily at night before bed to scrub away the day! I also use the St Ives blackhead scrub too... I love anything that St ives puts on the shelf. This is a good daily one for me!

It's nice

This is a nice scrub, but I definitely wouldn't say it's a medium grit scrub. It's very mild especially when compared to the St Ives apricot scrub. I was really hoping to find something that would be in between these two as far as scrubbiness goes.
