Acceptable for Blemishes

Mediocre
The concept is good: concealer with moisturizer. However, it is not good at performing at concealing under eye dark circles. It is fine for blemishes or facial dark spots, but NOT for under eye. If you want to cover blemishes and other face discolorations, this is fine for you. I'm surprised I actually liked this product (even though there were soooo many bad reviews on this). My hopes were extremely low for this product but after using this several times now, I can honestly say I don't know why other reviewers didn't like this product as much as I did. I like how smooth it applied and so easy to blend out. I got a sample of this so even if I didn't like this product, I wouldn't be wasting my money anyways. Unlike other reviewers here, I found that this concealer worked wonders for my undereye circles but not so much on my blemishes and hyperpigmentation. Weird. When I first swatched this on my hand, the concealer applied greasy because it's meant to be a hydrating concealer and because I have oily skin I was afraid it was going to crease. But I'm stunningly surprised that when I applied this under my eyes, it did not crease on me at all and it dried wonderfully while at the same time being hydrating without greasy. I thought this concealer would never set but it did. I don't have much imperfections to cover and not too dark of undereye circles so this worked well to brighten my undereye area. When I applied this over the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks and chin however, it rubbed off even when I set it with a powder. I like this for my undereye area but not so much for blemishes and my hyperpigmentation since it's also very light in coverage and will not cover much. The Fakeup Concealer has a moisture stick wrapped around the actual concealer which is great for my skin because the areas that actually need concealing are pretty dry and I do agree 100% that the Fakeup Concealer hydrated those dry spots! I generally apply the concealer with a concealer brush, then blend with my finger; the product applies very easily and blends wonderfully as well, and that's because it is so creamy yet doesn't slide around once it sets. Luckily the color I received was medium which happened to work perfectly for my skin color (other colors also include light and deep). As far as lasting abilities, because the areas I cover up with the concealer are fairly dry, I find that I do not need to set with a setting powder, in fact with just my foundation over it the Fakeup Concealer lasts all day, covering my imperfections and dark eye circles! The formula does feel very lightweight and not heavy at all, it literally feels like you have nothing on which I prefer because I hate the "feeling" of having too much concealer on my face! Overall, for my skintype I love the Benefit Cosmetics Fakeup Concealer, so much that I've actually just run out (took about 4 months). I do plan on purchasing a new tube, it does retail for $24.00 however for me because I have really dark circles this is the one concealer that gets the job done so the price is worth it for me, also the shade fits me perfectly which is something I've had issues with in the past with drugstore concealers! My recommendation for anyone interested is to test it out at Sephora because obviously everyone's skin is different and this may or may not work out for you! Gave mine away
There are many Benefit products I use regularly however all of their concealers have been a miss for me. All of my friends raved about this one so I used it 3 times before giving it away out of frustration. Disappointing
I received a deluxe sample of this through my Beauty Insiders membership at Sephora, but I would be even more disappointed if I ponied up the full price for this. I liked the concept of a moisturizing concealer, but the execution was off by a mile. I have had better drugstore concealers, particularly the CG Smoothers one. A sales associate recommended this me and I wish she hadn't. This stuff is completely useless. It doesn't cover dark circles- it gets oily, shiny, messy, and cakey...and also seeps into your fine lines if you have any exaggerating the lines even worse. The added moisturizer was a great, but not a good execution in this product. I have oily skin..and usually not oily underneath my eyes...but I gue...read moress oily enough to make this stuff a big cakey, greasy mess after an hour. I mean..I guess it kinda brightens the eyes..because the stuff is so dang oily and shiny. Don't waste your money. There are much better products out there than this. Even buy a separate concealer and brightener if you need to..but this stuff is not worth it. It doesn't even stay put. It comes off if you touch yours eyes..even if you use powder to set it. This stuff is totally and completely useless. Great to moisturize the skin... but the coverage is way too light
