Great budget primer!

This is the second budget primer that I have tried and it is heads and tails better than the ELF version. It has almost a slightly glue like texture but it actually feels really nice and holds my foundation in place quite well. It has mica in it, which are the light reflecting pigments, and it really makes my skin luminous without appearing oily, glittery or overdone. I would definitely recommend and for 3 bucks you really can't go wrong.

Better than Other Primers Quadruple the Price

I read some raving reviews about this drugstore primer and I thought I'd give it a chance. What a find! The lightweight formula feels sheer on but also tightens pores to give a smoother effect to the skin. Foundation stays put and looks much more natural than without. Not really what I expected

I love the NYC line. I find it a great way to play around with new products without breaking my budget. This primer has a nice feel and did not break my skin out (which was my main fear in sampling primers). This goes on smoothly and dries quickly (a must for me in the morning). Too many products of t...read morehese types may help keep makeup in place but make it impossible to blend your makeup over them. I found the mica in it to cause my face to look a little too sparkly. I find that my forehead gets a little too shiny and the sparkly effect just exacerbated this. While the light reflecting is subtle, it seems a bit much for me for day time wear all over my face. After that I started using it on my eyelids, decollate and as a highlighter. I have found that it does a great job of holding eye shadow and liner in place all day even in the heat of summer. The shimmer effect is nice on your chest and shoulders in bare summer tops. I think this is product is misnamed in calling it a primer. It does help hold makeup in place but does not really do much in terms of making your skin look smoother, or reduce the appearance of pores and it is certainly not great looking on wrinkles or any of the other primer hype that you hear. I found this to be a nice addition to my makeup regime, but not really the primer I was hoping for. Given the price (less than five dollars) it is certainly worth giving a try, but I would not recommend it to replace a primer that you already enjoy.

Good!

I really liked this primer. I've used it for quite a while and it has worked for me. I'm a dry skin girl and this is very moisturizing! It has a little bit of shimmer in it but not much, which I think is pretty. It first makes my skin slightly red and then evens out after a minute. I noticed that it doesn't change my makeup endurance by much. Over all good product, especially for the price!

Love

Love this primer never really used one before wasn't sure this difference between this and bb cream got this one and the bb cream from this brand makes my face feel softer and healthier wish I would of gotten this along time ago!

nyc smooth perfecting primer

This primer..... I don't really noticed any difference from my own skin, I mean when I put it on its just lotion for me. Also didnt like the sparkles on my face. I wont waste it though I'm gonna use it on my skin just to shine a little bit, but never on my face...

Nice product

Overall, this product is works quite well. It isn't super amazing although it does do its job. With this primer, you need to be careful by not putting on too much product or else it would turn your face into a disco ball. The formula for some reason has shimmer in it (or at least in the one that I purchase, number 684). The shimmer will show through if too much product is applied. I use about a pe...read morea sized over my entire face and neck. It smooths out the skin really well, leaving it soft and less bumpy, also leaving a hint of shimmer which is easily covered by foundation, unless it is a sheer cover. The primer does make the foundation last longer, although I do get shiny in the summer with, or without, it on. Other than that, it is a pretty good product. Next time, I would not purchase the shimmery primer, I would go for a clear one instead.

Pretty Good

This primer is pretty inexpensive, so for the price it really can't be that bad. I did not break out after using it, but it was quite sparkly and if you are not using a medium to full coverage foundation over it or use it in very tiny amounts, your face will look like a disco ball. This primer does not give your skin a silky feeling after you apply it, and since those are the types of primers I prefer, I will not be repurchasing, though I will gladly use this as a highlight.

Good for the price!

This primer makes my skin smooth and the overall color a bit more even. It has the slightest sparkle in it which I dont like and isn't written on the package as shimmer. As far as perfecting my skin and making pores disappear, it doesn't really do that. But for 3 bucks it's a good product.
