Awesome sequil
I love this palette for it's more cool tones. I think it works well in conjunction with the first palette - creating even more natural looks! The brush isn't bad. Oh Urban Decay, THANK you so much for making the Naked 2 Palette! Since I have a warmer undertone I figured the original Naked palette would be better suited for me. I was wrong! Don't get me wrong, I haven't forgotten about my beloved Naked palette but I may have found a replacement! These colors are absolutely gorgeous. There's a perfect shade for everyone! There are shimmer champagnes(verve), l...read moreight yellow toned matte's(foxy), a beautiful grayish slightly plum color (Tease), gorgeous gold (half baked) , a matte black (blackout), a beautiful orangey bronze (chopper), and of course other darker browns, etc. These colors range from shimmery, to glittery, to matte. They are all honestly like butter. Not only are they highly pigmented, but they can also be sheered out and blend together seamlessly. I used my MAC Paint Pot today in "Bare Study" up to my crease and put "Verve" over my entire lid, popped some "Tease" into my crease and outer V, darkened up my outer V a little more with "Pistol" and put a little bit of "Busted" only on the outer portion of my lid, literally two small swipes. Finished with "Foxy" on my browbone. I have got to say...this is my new favorite make up look of all time! I like to think of it as a Natural Smokey Eye. It's not over the top whatsoever but it's still polished and sexy. You can wear it with a nude lip or even a bright lip, that's the beauty of this palette. These shadows are all SUPER pigmented, so you don't need a lot at all and they blend so perfectly so there aren't any harsh transitional lines. I also love the brush that came with this palette, it's a double sided brush for your crease and your lid. Essentially, this is basically the only palette I will ever need. The colors look smooth and gorgeous on the lid, and they last all day even without a Paint Pot or primer (on my lids at least). Such a high quality product. Worth Every penny. New Neutral Awesomeness
Naked 2 has been heralded as the most anticipated sequel in the makeup world. At first I thought "what's the hype all about?" but then I saw it in person at Sephora and I understood. There are some great colors in it that I don't already have - yes there are some I already have from the Naked 1 palette and the 15th Anniversary palette but overall, for me, this is a mostly new set of colors. Even...read more though there only seems to be so many different looks you can do with neutral colors, there is really a much more diverse set of looks than you would expect. As with the Naked 1 palette there are shimmers (Booty call, chopper, suspect, pistol, verve, busted), glitters (half baked, snake bite, ydk) and mattes (foxy, tease, blackout). This palette is a plastic tray resting inside a metal case, which certainly seems like an upgrade. when I bought this it came with a double-sided Urban Decay Karma brush which is a completely different size than the one from the first palette. It also came with a lip gloss. I feel like again (as with Naked 1), the matte colors do come short of impressing me - if I had to pick a brand for matte I'd stick with Too Faced, but these still aren't bad, just not AS good. The color payoff is pretty good. I needed to go with two layers of blackout to get it opaque, but again I am super pale so that makes some sense it does come out a true black, like if you were playing with coal all day. It is an AMAZING palette! I love every product that I've received in the Naked series by Urban Decay! Naked2 has an amazing range of cool toned eyeshadow colors for everyday use and more extravagant looks also. I use mine every time I do my makeup ever since I got it.
