Inexpensive can be just as effective!
I have always been a budget shopper and that will probably never change! I almost ALWAYS keep my nail polish budget to $2 or less a bottle. Yup - told you! :) Well, I was enticed by the idea of an "all in one product." However, for the "extra" money I spent (the bottle was around $7) I wasn't all that impressed. After I painted my nails, I debated on applying a top coat anyway, but really wanted to test the product as it was designed to be used. As a result, I will definitely apply a top coat (or two!) next time, or better yet, buy NYC polish for less and apply a top coat and have it last 7 days. I also thought the formula was a bit thin. All in One
The luxury of painting my own nails stopped when I became handicapped due to multiple sclerosis. I have a girlfriend now clip and paint my nails for me which is quite generous of her. This all in one polish is a wonderful find to do that and I am very grateful to not have to worry about a base coat or a topcoat as well as the color. For a drugstore brand, this is not only within budget constraints, but it is also awesome. Sally Hansen Complete Manicure
Unless you have a lot of time to dry your nails thoroughly (and when I say thoroughly, I mean give it 40 minutes!), I recommend skipping this "all-in-one" product. It chipped way too easily (not even the most inexpensive polish I use chips!) and was so badly scuffed up after a few days that I have no idea how SH can claim this is a 10-14 day wearable polish. Amazing!!!
I usually boycot polishes from the drugstore as most tend to either dissapoint or just don't last as long as the good stuff. These however are fantastic! The colour selection is great and these are perfect for a quick manicure as they have a built in top and base coat and they actually last without chipping! Good drugstore find
I freely admit that I use both base coat and top coat with this nail polish, so maybe not the best test run. I do think it dries shinier than a lot of formulas, making top coat less necessary. Best of Drugstore Nail Color
First off it does exactly what it says it does. Base, color and topcoat all in one bottle and the colors last longer than many essie and opi shades I've used. Pretty Good
It looks nice. It is a little thick for my taste, and I love/hate the brush. My main complaint is the drying time, but I love Gray By Gray. I also have Kook-A-Mango (a crazy color I barely ever wear but wanted to try on my toenails). My mom has Raisin the Bar, which I almost bought the same day she got hers! I've only tried this in one shade, but I do like this polish. It applies evenly and you only need one coat. It's not a super fast drier, but I've never had a problem. Stays put longer
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure is one of the best nail polishes I've used. I have two gorgeous colors from the brand (a beige and a lovely dark/grey blue). This is my favorite nail polish after OPI and Essie. Here's why: First off, this stuff is close to one coat color. Its not quite a gel polish, but its close. Its got a thickish texture, but still spreads well and doesn't streak. I usually do two coats, because I like vibrant, perfect color, and I can't stand it if the color is semi translucent, but for people that don't mind translucent color, thi...read mores could be one coat color. Secondly, this is one swipe nail polish. I LOVE that so much. The brush is extra thick and wide, and is flat. You only need one swipe to cover the entire nail. That means way less chance of streaks. I hate thin brushes when you need to redip and end up with streaks because some of the polish has started to dry. Its a mess. I never end up with that when using this polish. Third, great colors! I buy polish because its a color I like, so no matter how great this polish is, I wouldn't own any if it didn't come in spectacular colors. I always check the display to see what new seasonal colors have come out. I think Sally Hansen has done really well making this line trendy, they always have the newest, hottest colors. Bottom line: Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure nail polish is wonderful. Its got a good consistency, thicker but not too thick. It spreads well and covers in minimal coats. The brush is wide and flat, allowing you to coat in fewer strokes. And this nail polish line comes in the newest trendy colors every season.
