Lovely and Affordable

I bought the Core Collection mainly for the buffing brush. I had heard wonderful things about Real Techniques and the buffing brush in particular. It picks up and distributes the product effectively ...read moreand is so easy to clean. I use the contour brush for bronzer mainly, but it is also great for highlighter. Since these are synthetic, they work well with cream or powder products. The small foundation brush I like for cream highlighter or to help blend under eye concealer. It is personally way too small for me to use as a foundation brush. The small lip brush is the worst in the set. It's not great for lip products because the shape and size seem wrong. However, I have found a use for this in my nail kit. I use this for cleaning up the edges of my nail polish by dipping it into a cap of nail polish remover and working it around the sides of my nails. This set of four brushes comes with a little travel brush roll and only costs $18. Such a bargain for the quality and versatility you receive! I personally don't like the look of the Real Techniques brushes because they come off as cheap. I'd much prefer the handles to be completely black and more slim. Still, for what you pay these are great. Since they are so lightweight, they are great for traveling too.

Essential for creating a flawless complexion

After discovering the Pixiwoos and finding out Samantha Chapman had her own brush line that's very affordable, I was glad to hear that they are now being offered at ULTA. This has what you need to blend in your found...read moreation/concealer. The Contour brush is great for applying powder and highlighter for a perfect finish. The Pointed Foundation Brush is great to get those hard to reach places for blending foundation and/or concealer. The Detailer brush is good for concealing but I could also use this for eyeliner. The Buffing brush is amazing to buff in foundation (powder/cream/liquid). It reminds me alot of the Face Expert brush, which will be my next purchase. All brushes are great for blending in your makeup for a natural look. The case is too awesome. It can fold over to protect your brushes. It can be folded back and held by this adjustable string resembling a shoe lace, that can make it stand up as in the picture. Plus the part of the case where it folds over has an elastic band where you can fit 2-3 more brushes. I intend to buy the whole set to retire my aging brushes that I've had for over 10 years. I absolutely love these brushes.

Soft brushes

This is a really great set and very affordable. Dont confuse affordable with lack of quality. These are really nice and soft and blend seamlessly. They are synthetic so you can use them with a variety of products. The only one brush that i dont like as much is the small precision brush. Its supposed to be used for concealer or lipstick but i find its too small for concealer and too big for lipstick. The rest are all thumbs up-again a great set.

Love this set!

This is such a great travel set. All of these brushes are so soft and perfectly designed. They NEVER shed. They wash and dry like a dream. The hairs don't splay out everywhere. The buffing brush is great for foundation, powder, blush, or bronzer. The detailing brush is perfect for an inner corner or brow highlight, shaping your brows, OR applying lip products because it is synthetic. The small poi...read morented foundation brush I think is a bit too small for foundation but works great for concealer, highlighter(liquid,cream, or powder),or putting a wash of eyeshadow across the lid. The contour brush is excellent. Probably my favorite out of them all though it is hard to pick just one! You can use it for foundation, contouring(obviously), blush, highlighter, bronzer, or just blending or setting under eye concealer. These are my most reached for brushes by far. Love love love them and cannot recommend them enough!

Multipurpose, High Quality Brushes - Must Buy!

I purchased this set primarily because I wanted to add a contouring brush to my beauty tool collection. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that not only are the brushes ultra-soft, but I love and frequently use the other brushes. I use the contour brush for, well, contouring; the flat foundation brush for applying light/thin foundation or tinted moisturizer; the detailer brush for applying co...read morencealer (and then blending with a finger); and the buffing brush to apply blush and bronzer and occasionally to blend everything out. I do believe that these brushes, with the exception of the foundation brush, are multipurpose and, as Sam & Nic Chapman say, "do the work for you" when putting on makeup, which is to say product is evenly distributed and blends effortlessly. What's more, the case-stand that comes with the brushes is fantastic! It is foldable one way for protecting brushes when traveling and another way to display the brushes on a flat surface, and there are extra elastic bands to hold more brushes. I am VERY happy I invested in this collection and am looking forward to future Real Techniques purchases.

Love it

This brush set is very inexpensive. So when I bought it I honestly did no expect much. I was so wrong. Real Techniques brushes are indeed amazing in every way possible. Incredibly soft synthetic, cruelty-free bristles. Amazing application, especially the powder brush blends powder foundation so flawlessly, it is unbelievable. Highlighter blush is also very handy and good. I love the metallic golde...read moren color. I also wash them frequently (with a regular shampoo), but bristles do not come off and it does not lose its softness. I've had this product for over a year.

Best affordable brushes

I just recently bought these brushes and I must say they are so worth the hype. I have not yet experienced no shedding and the brushes are so soft but yet so incredibly dense to give you a flawless makeup application. Makeup brushes are something I'm addicted to and these have definitely transformed the way I apply my makeup and the way my look appears. One of the best sets I've ever come across.

I initially discovered the real techniques brushes whilst watching the makeup tutorials of the BEAUTIFUL Tanya Burr (pixi2woo) on youtube, I always saw her using these fantastic brushes (particularly the buffing brush) and raving about how lovely they are, they made her look even more stunning. Naturally I didn't think Australia would be lucky enough to have them but alas, Priceline has done it ag...read moreain and now sells the entire Real Techniques line! These brushes are super soft, the handles are very pleasant and sturdy to hold and just the right length, the buffing brush is as incredible as you may think and I adore it for applying MUFE HD foundation, as well as powder products. The detail concealer brush is amazing for application of cream/pot concealers that are a little harder to budge sometimes such as cult classic MAC Studio Finish and can imagine it would work just as brilliantly with the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealers. The contour brush finally allows me to be able to realistically contour my cheeks and lightly apply highlight and blush in an even and precise manner. I also like the pointed foundation brush for really soft diffusing of concealer, though I personally think it's too small for an entire application for foundation to the face, it'd take ages! The travel case is convenient, compact and makes it easy to store my brush brands separately, these brushes wash extremely well and I have yet to experience any shedding. My only qualm is that in Australia this set costs me $44 whereas on the US website you only have to pay $17, aside from this they're a major asset to any makeup fan!

All you need for a fantastic base

I love this set, it literally came with everything I have ever 'needed' to achieve a flawless base. Concealer blush, buffing brush, pointed foundation brush and the contour brush which is still a bit advanced for me. This is a set to grow into and is fantastic for makeup neophytes who really want to step up their game.
