A Steal for the Money!

Yes, my heart currently belongs to Too Faced's "Shadow Insurance" and UD's "Primer Potion," but when I tried NYX's HD "Eyeshadow Base" I was amazed at its potency. It keeps shadow on as long as the aforementioned others, if not longer. My shadow stays highly pigmented with this. For only $7.00, what more could you want?

Great at a Good Price

I love NYX cosmetics because they are comparable to the more expensive prestige brands, like Too Faced and Benefit. I have red lids, and I apply this to my lids, and the redness is gone, and eyeshadows stay put. For the money, this is a great product. I suggest checking out the entire NYX line of cosmetics.

Amazing

This is my new favorite eyeshadow primer. I used to use the ELF $1 primer, which worked pretty well for me, but now that I'm using this it seems like ELF's primer wasn't that great after all! I mean it did it's job, but it doesn't compare to NYX's in terms of staying power. I applied this under my eyeshadow at 8 am, and at 10 pm that night my eyeshadow had not creased AT ALL! I was shocked. Most o...read moref the eyeshadow was still there as well. I'm super impressed with this primer!! Great lid primer. It prevents shadows from settling into the creases in my lids, which has bedeviled me ever since I began wearing makeup. Because my lids have become more see-through with age, I'd love it if NYX created a version of this eyeshadow base with a faint yellowish cast that might neutralize my lids' red tones. The second primer I've tried and I love it! I even had a little bit of trouble getting my eyeshadow off it was so good! I'm definitely a bit of a NYX girl as I haven't yet tried anything I haven't liked, but this is probably my favourite product out of all the NYX products I've tried, and is also now my favourite eyeshadow primer. Definitely worth the try. Exactly what I needed. I tested this stuff with NYX's "Flamenco" eyeshadow (not "Flamingo", this one is from a trio). I love the color, but something about the shadow makes it disappear very quickly on me. After 8 hours with the eyeshadow base, the eyeshadow looked like I had just put it on. Incredible! Usually my very oily eyelids make the shadow disappear in about 3 hours. There was slight creasing on the inner eyelid, but it wasn't noticeable. I don't think it made the shadow much brighter, but I was just looking for something to help with the oiliness. You can use NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk as a cheap base to brighten colors. Will definitely repurchase. OMG! This is a LIFE SAVER if you are not willing to shell out $18 for UDPP...it's very comparable!! I have no creasing or fading what so ever with my eyeshadow from morning to night time (and I have extremely oily eyelids!) It has a very light consistency..almost seems like it would be too runny/watery to have holding power but don't let that fool you because it DOES do the job and more! I love the price, I just said about UDPP the same because I do love both of these products...only down side is I personally don't like doe foot applicators for these primers and prefer a squeeze tube..so I'm hoping NYX will come out with that! If you are wanting to save about $10 bucks...BUY THIS PRIMER! It does just as good of a job as the higher end primers..and in some cases EVEN BETTER!!

Cheapest One That Really Works

This primer does exactly what it's supposed to do - simple as that. I put it on my lids, put a little concealer and powder over the top, then apply my eyeshadow, and it looks perfect all day, every time. I can even fall asleep for the night with my makeup on and still wakeup in the morning to perfectly creaseless, intact shadow! No need to bother with the pricier brands everyone raves about - for six bucks, this one does the trick!

Good as Urban Decay and Too Faced

I didn't understand how some women's eyeshadow looked so vibrant and pretty all day long. I have oily hooded eyes and for the longest time my shadows would be gone half way through the day. I invested in a few high priced eyeshadow primers and I will never go back to just wearing eyeshadow. I picked this primer up at Ulta because I had ran out of my Urban Decay Primer Potion and I needed a new pri...read moremer. I figured I didn't have much to lose. It was only 5 bucks and if it didn't work I could just go back and purchase my old standby. Boy I was sure surprised at this one. It has the same staying power as Urban Decay with a third of the cost! I will never buy an expensive eyeshadow primer again. This one is a little bit thinner than Urban Decay but it works exactly the same. I am in love. If you like Too Face Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay Potion Primer you've got to try this. It is amazing on my eyes and on my wallet. The only con (and it is a small one) is that it's in a wand. I would really prefer a tube for sanitary reasons. I will keep repurchasing this because it does exactly what it's supposed to and it is at a great price. I hope they never discontinue this stuff!

Much Disappoint

I bought this upon reading good reviews only to be disappointed. I would like to say good things about this product but I can't...My eyelids seems twice if not quadrippply oily. QUADRIPPPLY. 4X. (I get that grody eyeshadow crease) *whispers* Good price though.

LOVE

I am a makeup SNOB, and I've never found an eye primer that I love as much as this one!! I wear a lot of eye makeup and I do not ever reapply. I have combo/oily skin and I touch my face a lot and my makeup still looked flawless after 15 hours!

Hated it first love it now

At first this product wasn't used much due to horrible creasing. Every time I used it the eyeshadow applied came off before an hour was up. I stopped using it because it wasn't work for me. I do have oily lids so I just thought the product wasn't suit for me. At the beginning of this week I started using this again and tried applying less and fanning my eyelids to set it. I do live in a tropical c...read morelimate so the humidity made it hard for it to set as fast as it should so I discovered a way to make it work for me. I apply a thin layer to my clean dry eyelids before anything at all. I then fan them till the product sets and make sure before it does that it is even. After that I dust a light powder matching my skin-tone to prevent oil. Apply my makeup and I found that It works wonders. The first time I started this process my eyeshadow lasted the entire day. A bit of fading but no smudging or shifting. Pleasantly surprised. Wonderful product just have to make it work for your skin type.

Bang for the buck

great for the price and quality very cheap and great if you have oily eyelids keeps everything where it needs to be.
