Had better for a cheaper price.....
This is a highly overpriced nail polish and I wouldn't buy the full size ever since I've had other nail polishes that cost a fraction of this and still performs better. I bought the trial size as part of a kit. I asked the Sephora staff if this nail polish is even worth it for $18 since I love OPI and they claimed that this is wayyy better than OPI. I disagree to a certain point. First off, I love...read more the brush on this although it is skinnier than the OPI brush. I love how stiff the bristles are. It makes it easy to get polish on your nails instead of the skin outside the nail bed if the brush is too flimsy. This polish blends so easy and doesn't apply streaky at all! However, it wasn't opaque enough that I had to apply two coats in order for the true color to show. Great color payoff and application
I have recently gotten a few Deborah Lippmann polishes and have been really impressed. What stands out about Deborah Lippmann's range is how prolific her color selection is. Her colors really capture the tone and trend of the upcoming season. I have been looking to her collections for the latest "it" nail color. Apart from trends, the colors really have a wonderful payoff and are quite flatter...read moreing against the skin. These apply really well, going on smoothly, even if your application isn't perfect. The finish is indicated in the description which is very helpful. This way you know if you are buying a more sheer finish or something that is more creamy and opaque. The wear for these polishes is decent. I haven't had any chipping, however the color does start to recede after a couple of days. These polishes touch up quite well though...the color blends nicer than many of my other polishes. I don't like that some of her special collection colors cost more. These polishes typically retail for $16 which is already expensive, but certain "special" colors cost $18-$20. This i think is pushing it. Polish perfection
I love these. They come in the most pretty colors and have the best names. Diamonds and Pearls is one of my favorite colors. It is a light shimmery color that makes my nails look polished when I don't want full on color. Lippmann nail polishes are gorgeous. The majority of the polishes do not chip and have the most beautiful shine to them. I love how all of the names for Deborah's polishes are names of songs. Great colors
Ms. Lippman creates some great colors! Even the glitter polishes make me want to get creative. I love how you can layer the sheer colors like Diamonds and Pearls over other colors to make a unique color. Lippman colors are highly rich in color and even vibrant (Stop & Stare and Daytripper). Nail couture
If you can get past the sticker shock ($16 a bottle!), you'll be treated to high-quality nail polish housed in a beautiful regency-style bottle. My other polishes live in a drawer in my bathroom, but these babies are on display. The color goes on true to what's in the bottle and lasts for days without chipping or fading, even without a top coat. Nice, but not nice enough for the cost
I only own one of her shades. Looking at her line, I was really impressed with the colors. That being said, they're overpriced and don't last any longer than the other ones (OPI, Essie). They do outlast Zoya. I thought the names were cute. The bottles, while more expensive, are also smaller. This I don't care as much about since I never have used an entire nail polish before it went bad. B...read moreut for twice the cost, I'll just go with Essie, Opi or Zoya. They all have almost the same colors anyway. I'm sure there is a full market for this polish but I don't think I am in it. I would be happy if I got some more colors as a gift though. I did find the application to be a little bit too thick for my preference. This could be the one color I own, or consistent with the line. It is really not that great
I am a nail polish guru, and I can honestly say that this brand of nail polish is not worth $19 – it doesn't go on smoothly, it chips easily, and even darker shades need at least three coats to conceal your nail. It doesn't dry very fast, and because it requires so many coats, it can smudge within hours after drying. That said, it doesn't dry as poorly a brands like Revlon. Best glitter nail polishes
I love Deborah Lippmann's glitter nail polishes. They glide on smoothly and easily and don't get chunky like a lot of other nail polishes.
