Wonderful powder!
As I mentioned in a couple other recent reviews, it has taken me a few years to rediscover Smashbox and the products because I wasn't too keen on them originally. Halo is one of the best powders if...read more you want a bit of coverage, but don't want to wear liquid foundation, OR if you wear liquid foundation underneath and Halo on top for super FULL coverage. I like the shades options that Halo has. There is fair, light, light/medium, medium, medium/dark, and dark. Personally, I think Smashbox tends to run a bit darker in their makeup than other brands, so people who have very pale, alabaster/porcelain skin may think that the fair might be too dark. Light is a great shade for me, but I noticed that the light/medium is better for more olive skin because it runs much more yellow. The price of $59 may seem like a bunch to people, but I like that you do get a large product AND a kabuki brush. Also, I like that you get to twist the top to shave the product for new, fresh powder every single time. This powder doesn't look too powdery on my skin either. Yes, it's a powder and just about all powders will leave a powdery finish, but this give a tolerable finish that doesn't look cakey or powdery, especially if you buff it in well. What I don't like about this product is how MESSY it can become! Be careful with how much you twist the top to shave the product because the powder can get all over the container. Also, the container is very bulky. It's not very travel-friendly because of its size. Smashbox Halo
This is one of Smashbox's BEST products. It's pricey, so I recommend buying it in a kit with other items. It has the smoothest appication in the world and really helps minimize the fact that it's powder. It's like silk on the skin. It's one of those rare powders that s super moisturizing once applied. Calling a powder hydrating
Most powders are drying or make your skin look super dry. However, Halo doesn't leave my skin with that dry or dull look to it. This is like a mini miracle. Even though there is a limited amount of colors, it matches my skin. I have a hard time matching my skin with the BE powder. I wear Smashbox's Sheer Tint underneath this and a light dusting of Halo and I never look like I have caked on ma...read morekeup. I still wear moisturizer underneath because there is no SPF in this. Why...?
I've used this 3 - 4 different times and each time, I've experienced breakouts like you couldn't imagine. Everywhere I used this, a zit farm grew! Very bad! Looks beautiful when it's first applied, but within a few hours it's faded and made my skin look chalky. Also, if you have oily skin - this won't be your skins friend what so ever. Great powder
I have tried quite a few different powders and more often than not I do not like them because they end up just making my skin look dry but I had no such problem with this powder! It is my new fav, I love the way it lays on my skin and how it makes my skin look. Really great
Even though the price tag is very steep, I really love this and the price is well deserved. I have dry skin, and this gives me luminous (not cakey) coverage. I do not prefer the brush it comes with... I like BE's full kabuki brush, but this is not a review on the brush. I love the finely milled powder... not too much at first.. you can always make more. Unlike some other mineral powders, this does...read moren't make my face itch. Bonus! The best I've found for dry skin
This is the best powder I have found for my dry skin. Wait a few minutes after applying your moisturizer because it will darken if your skin is too moist. AMAZED!!!
This is a wonderful finishing powder...even though it's currently winter this product will leave your skin feeling moisturized and give your skin a satin-like finish. My skin has yellow undertones so it definitely gives my skin a perfect glow, all I need is some concealer then I use this powder and I'm good to go! i've tried better
the cool thing about this powder is that it is very hyrdrating. however, the colors are very yellow, it looks cakey, and it feels heavy on the face. plus, for $60 i can but 2 bare escentuals foundations (which are my favorite anyway). don't waste your money.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Awesome
