Great moisturizer for winter with some bonuses!

DDF's Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer is an SF 15 sunblock lotion to help brighten the skin and protect it from hypermigmentation. I tried this lush and moisturizing (but not heavy!)formula recently. It felt great on the skin, but wasn't ideal for my combination skin during the later days of summer. I do, however, plan to make this a part of my winter skin regimen. I can't speak on the claims o...read moref helping with hyperpigmentation and discoloration protection just yet, but it does give a nice glow to the skin. For me the help with the skin conditions are extra bonuses! I wish the SPF was higher, but they do offer other products that I'm anxious to try for my skin needs: DDF Sun Enhancing Protection SPF 30 and the DDF Daily Matte SPF 15-- a mattifying sun block??? I truly need this in my life!

    No physical blockers!

DDF's new PROTECT & CORRECT UV Moisturizer SPF 15 is a nice day time cream. It's fairly hydrating considering it's a sunscreen & on the benefit side it helps correct the look of discoloration & hyper pigmentation. I wasn't sure at first if it was just by luck that my skin stopped being so blotchy when I started using the product but after a couple days it was for sure the product was t...read morehe answer. My skin tone has been by far more radiant. My only concern with this product is that it contains sunblocks that degrade & breakdown rather than physical blockers that protect all day like Mikaela's favourite one. That's a big issue for me - making sure my SPF lasts. I don't have time when flying to reapply all day long... something to think about!

    Love it!

Along with my chiffon party dresses and metallic gladiators, I’m packing away the hardcore sunscreen in favor of something more weather-appropriate. This weekend, I picked up DDF Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer SPF 15, a lightweight UV-blocker that’s also infused with brightening agents to erase dark spots as it prevents new ones from forming. Though pricy ($58), it eliminates the...read more need for a separate treatment product (read: extra expense). And, in this economy, who isn’t in favor of a little streamlining? Worth a try!

The best advice that I can give all of my readers with regards to skincare is to buy skincare products according to your individual skincare type/needs/issues. So for those of you with hyperpigmentation issues or uneven skintone, you will want to consider trying DDF's Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer SPF 15. The one aspect I’m most passionate about is protection from the sun. This product contains broad spectrum UVA-UVB protection. Sun damage leads not only to skin cancer, aging, and collagen and elastin deterioration, but to hyperpigmentation, capillary damage and free radical damage. Everyone needs to wear a moisturizer with an SPF - regardless of your skintone-everyday, rain or shine! With this product you'll receive the benefits of the prevention of hyperpigmentation, correction of uneven skintone and protection from UV rays. This all combined makes it totally worth giving it a try!

Not a Great Moisturizer but Not Bad Either.

Reclaim the natural radiance of even-toned, more youthful skin while helping to prevent future discoloration. Also contains SPF 15 to help protect from UVA/UVB damage and future hyperpigmentation. Helps correct the look of discoloration. According to DDF skincare, hyperpigmentation can be treated within a skin care regimen that includes effective ingredients and diligent use of sunscreens. As a retired sun worshiper, I have inherited my fair share of hyperpigmentation. Being Greek/Italian I am prone to getting skin discolorations. Have you heard the saying: "fry now, pay later"? Well those words are 100% accurate when it comes to the sun and our skin. We need to be well stocked up on sunscreen lotions to prevent any further damage to our skin. And to help us in preventing any future discolorations are products like DDF Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer SPF 15. I was given this moisturizer by Total Beauty to try out and I have been using it for almost a month now and while I haven't noticed any changes in my hyperpigmentation, I have noticed that my skin appears brighter. Now just because I haven't noticed my discolorations getting lighter, doesn't mean that this product does not deliver. With continued use, I am sure I will begin to notice some changes. This moisturizer is light-weight and has the consistency of a sunscreen lotion. The scent is pleasant and smells similar to other sunscreen lotions I have used. The DDF line was founded in 1991 by world renowned dermatologist, Dr. Howard Sobel, to provide his patients with over-the-counter products that deliver effective results backed by professional knowledge. Recommended as an effective UV Sunscreen by the Skin Cancer Foundation.

    A Nice Double Duty Product

DDF always tends toward impressive products. I particularly love their new Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer aimed at treating and preventing hyperpigmentation and melasma. I have always been a fan of double duty products, so this one goes high on my recommended item list. DDF’s Protect and Correct is a light moisturizer with four chemical sunscreens for SPF 15 coverage. It also contain...read mores various extracts, including licorice root extract, to help treat pigmentation. So, the sunscreen prevents discoloration, while the extracts treat it. The lotion has a decent feel to it, absorbs fairly quickly, and I had no issues with acne with it. I do wish it had a higher SPF though. I really prefer to use SPF 30 and above. A physical blocker in it instead of all chemical ones would be nice too. Regardless, it still is a quality product. DF Protect and Correct retails at around $58 and can be found at various online sources.

    Double Thumbs Up!

The upside: Lotion glides easily on skin and I can skip layering on moisturizer followed by sunscreen because it contains both. The downside: Wish it came in an oil-free formulation for acne-prone skin but with drier fall weather around the corner, I can use it during the less sweaty months. Overall: I'm all for a 3-in-1 product that maximizes its effectiveness and your time. It seems pricey at fi...read morerst at $58 a bottle but not if you factor in the tripe duty. Great for Protecting from the Sun.

No matter how hard I try to protect my face from the sun, the freckles, age spots and sun damage are quite apparent during the Summer months. You have no idea how much I put on my face to not only protect it from the sun, but to hide the damage. Oy. And as I am getting older by the second, it is harder and harder to do. When I got this product from DDF called Protect and Correct, I could not wai...read moret to give it a try. This is a moisturizing day cream that contains an SPF of 15. This cream is full of potent ingredients such as Niacinamide to help even and correct the skins tone, while full spectrum UVA/UVB ingredients filter out the sun, preventing the damage from happening from the first place,. Don't let the rating of SPF 15 fool you. I like to use an SPF of 50 on my face for daytime use, but this one does an equally fantastic job guarding my face from the sun, as the sunscreens are broad spectrum, not letting any bit sunlight from further damaging my skin. This moisturizer is perfect for my dry skin, as it is a bit on the thicker side, and makes it instantly feel more hydrated. After just a few weeks of use, I am totally noticing that my skin is more even, overall. I am still working o particular areas, which I will undoubtedly continue to do for a while. In the meantime, this is great for everyday.

Not one for oily skinned gals

DDF is famed for their high-end and effective skincare offerings. Total Beauty gave me the chance to test out the new DDF Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer SPF 15 face lotion. Personally, I have never shelled out the cash for a DDF product before but have heard wonderful reviews from friends, family members and fellow bloggers. This face lotion packs a fantastic range of UVA and UVB sun protecti...read moreon making it a very wise choice for daily use. And it promises to prevent future hyperpigmentation (sun damage is a common cause of skin discoloration), even your skin tone and correct the look of current discolorations. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I didn't notice any improvement in my melasma or skin tone issues on my face. (Darn it... I was really hopeful this would help.) It did protect my skin very well, applied easily, and stayed in place through the day without any extra greasiness or slipperiness. The scent is minimal and pleasant. Sadly, I broke out in tiny red pimples/bumps across my face. I believe this is due to the strong concentrations of alcohol, glycerin and other oils. If you have breakout prone skin, oily or combination skin, this certainly isn't the best choice for you due to it already containing oils. I would also caution you in the claims of it's ability to correct pigmentation issues.
