Paula, Could You Revamp the Formula?

Paula's Choice products usually do not disappoint, but I am most disheartened after exhausting one complete tube and the great majority of another of their "RESIST Remarkable Skin Lightening Lotion with 7% AHA" with very few positive results. The science is there to lighten skin--I don't know why the light circles on one cheek and one hand are so resistant to this cream (Pond's "Clarant B3" did a...read more much better job at a fraction of the cost). The spots have been oh-so-ever-slightly-lessened, but not enough to justify the price of $25.00 for two ounces. The cream is silky and I realize that you must use it consistently, as skipping a day can cause major setbacks. But the smell is extremely harsh, like corroded metal, and my husband and I have endured it for months with almost no improvement. I will return to Pond's or move on to Bremenn Clinical's "Clinical Strength Dark Spot Eraser." Sorry, Paula, but this did not begin to live up to my expectations.

Incredible product!

I bought this after reading reviews for lightening products, and am so glad I did! I had never tried Paula's Choice products before, but now I'm a convert. I am 39 and get sunspots, even though I use UVA/UVB sunblock every time I go outside. I needed something that would lighten those spots, but not make my combination oily/normal skin break out, and this product is perfect! I noticed a difference...read more the 2nd day, although I'll have to wait several weeks to see them all gone. I can wear this under makeup too, which is great. I've tried Clinique's Even Better and Laser Repair with no effect other than causing me to breakout, and this is so much less expensive. I've been using Philosophy's Miracle Retinoid Pads, which also haven't done anything about the spots- I wish I would have saved my money and found this product sooner!

Great stuff!

I tend to develop hyperpigmentation on my face when I am over exposed to the sun. I never leave the house with out 55 SPF on my face and still if not carefull will develop those brown spots. So because of this i try to avoid the sun as much as possible. In Mexico recently it was very hard to do. My freckles on one side of my face basically became one large brown spot. It was huge and very obv...read moreious. Started with this lightening product when I returned home and it faded nicely. It did not go away overnight but it did go away. I always use 55 Spf suncreen on my face but still will develop brownspots when in Mexico (a favorite vacation spot of me and my husband)...as soon as I get home I start with Paula's lightening cream and in no time my skin is back to where it should be.
