I'm Always Reaching for This!

Okay, worth the price.

Good Eye Shadow Brush
I don't wear eyeshadow a lot but on the days that I do, I always use this brush. It is very affordable and does its job as a basic shader brush. Excellent Eye Shadow Brush
It applies eye shadow relatively nicely. The bristles stay intact and don't shed until after I've washed it repetitively for long while. Overall, this brush was able to last me a few years, before I finally replaced it. So it's a nice beginner eye shadow brush to swipe a few color or two onto your lids. A very good brush!

Not very impressed
I know that it's only a dollar, but I've heard so many good reviews about this brush, that I was I might have been possibly expecting too much... So I don't know if my not-so-positive review has anything to do with my expectations. To be honest with you, I like almost all of ELF's Studio brushes, use their powder and kabuki brushes every single day, but this one was just too rough for me. I have...read more a medium size eye lids, so they are not too small or too big, and I figured I should end up loving this, but I just find it kind of bulky and rough and it's shaped in such a way that you need to kind of press on your lid in order to apply the colour, and because it's a bit rough, I find it even more unpleasant when I press it on. When I used it with a type of eye shadow that's very smooth and silky in consistency, I almost felt like apologizing to my shadow, because I had "scraped" so much of it all, having forgotten that the brush is so stiff. In my opinion, you are better off spending a 2 dollars more and going for one of the "Studio" line brushes, such as the "Eyeshadow C" brush. And I'm recommending the "C" brush only because it has a similar shape to this "Essential" line brush. If you are looking for a differently shaped inexpensive eye shadow brush, you also have other options in ELF's "Studio" line. In general I find that the brushes from the "Studio" line have softer bristles, but enough firmness as well, when it comes to their powder, all over complexion, or stippling brushes. So once again, I find myself being a black sheep because I see how many people have liked this brush, but I have to remain honest to myself and others and thought it might be helpful to some people as well. ;)This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Not bad!
My shadow brush is getting pretty old so I tossed this one onto my order the last time I put one in online. It's a bit bigger than my old one so I wasn't sure how I was going to like it, but it's really great! The stiffness of the bristles is perfect for applying powder shadows, I really like it. I took two stars off because it seems to be shedding bristles pretty steadily. A Staple In my Collection

Great quality for cheap price
