I don't understand the review saying that it does not hold... from my experience and from my stylist's (who is also a friend), this dye holds like no other. I have my hair dyed with Elumen, I have a purple (like, ultra violet purple) to magenta ombre and the colour is vibrant and stunning. It was done over a month ago and the color is still the same as day 1, it did not fade at all. My hair is n...read moreaturally brown and had to be bleached quite a bit for the bright color we wanted to achieve, and yet they look shiny, strong, silky. I've never seen a color hold like that. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a bright, vibrant color, but for the love of god get a hairstylist who KNOWS how to work with Elumen or you will end up with a disappointing look, Elumen is harder to work with than other products so make sure whoever is doing it knows what they're doing. BTW you have to use their color lock after you dye and rinse the hair to have it hold on the hair... perhaps that was your problem if the color did not last long. As they say, some things are better left to professionals.

Pretty good

Used Goldwell in cosmetology school this product was pretty good. I wish they had more of a variety of colors. I have blue in the underneath of my hair but I went with Hot Topic's RAW brand. I found that ellumen doesn't last very long. Granted it's not a permanent so it's not supposed to but this product was washing out rather quickly.

Love It

I hav e a very thick hair of which runs 1/2 way down my back. I also use Elumen (not for the color) but for the effect it leaves on my hair... smooth.. silky... light and so soft. I was introduced to this in a salon in Philly (Illuminations) and have been using it now for about 4 years. I am natural but often refer to Elumen as my hair tamer!

This stuiff is good

I was in a goldwell hairshow and I believe this is what they used on my hair. It wasnt too strong smelling either.
