Just ok...

I bought this because I enjoy masks, but mostly because I was looking for a new exfoliating product and I'm a big fan of almost everything I've ever tried from Lush. Turns out this was not my favorite item I've ever purchased from there. The mask is messy to apply--it was clumpy and hard to smooth on to my skin. As it dried, it would flake off everywhere if I moved my face too much. These seemed to work ok but just wasn't the effect I was going for. Overall my skin felt soft immediately after I used this mask and it didn't ever cause breakouts, but the results were nothing that inspired me to want to buy this mask again.

Effective, multi-purpose mask

I adore the Mask of Magnaminty. I use this 1-2 times per week and it does wonders for my skin on many levels. Although I don't have major breakouts, I have large pores and a real tendency towards blackheads. You immedia...read moretely feel the cooling sensation of the mint on your face and although it is intense, especially the first time, it isn't painful or irritating on my sensitive skin. The cooling sensation subsides after about five minutes. As it dries, you can practically feel this bringing out the impurities from your skin. When it's time to wash this off, you have to exercise some patience as it doesn't come off straight away. This serves a purpose though! Rinsing this off using circular motions with your hands, activates the ground aduki beans and gently exfoliates your face. This mask is so multipurpose and I could see it working for several types of people. It draws out impurities, tones, exfoliates and softens the skin. I recommended this to my friend who loved it and even my boyfriend enjoys using this mask with me. To top it all off, this mask is a great value.

You can feel it working

Hooray for Lush for coming up with a deep-cleaning, blackhead-clearing, mint-scented mask that you can order online. This mask left my skin feeling baby's bottom soft and squeaky clean. Nice. What's not so nice, however, is that Mask of Magnaminty hurts. At first it felt pleasantly cool, but the cooling sensation became unpleasant rather quickly, chilling my face to the point of pain. And the nice minty smell made me queasy after about five minutes.

Amaaaaazing~

You get a big ol' 11 oz tub of this for about $20. If you compare it to department store masks, its a MASSIVE deal. (I'm talking about those masks that are 4 oz for like...about the same price) It's a pretty hefty tub, and it's very minty but not so minty that it hurts. The consistency resembles that of mint chocolate chip ice cream, its VERY thick with little pieces of gentle exfoliant in it. Whe...read moren smeared all over your face, it feels kind of cold and refreshing too. (just like ice cream, only not that cold) The thickness makes a tub last forever, but the problem is that it only has a 4 month shelf life--so once you buy it, don't be afraid to use it as much as possible! It's very exfoliating when you rub it on and wash it off, yet not irritating whatsoever. My skin feels very soft after using it, and deep cleans my face so my acne and pores look much better, and keeps my face oil-free for the rest of the day.

Broke my face out!!!!

I actually didn't purchase this in the store I tried a sample. The product made my face breakout. I am not sure that skin purifications always cause breakouts. I tried this mask a couple of times just to see if there would be any improvements but each time it broke me out, My skin HATES this stuff. I later tried cosmetic warrior which my skin loves. The tea tree scent takes some getting used to but me and my skin prefer it 20 times over Magnaminty.

"Wow" product!

I picked up this mask because I had heard good things on YouTube about it. My initial impression was that it was extremely thick and didn't smell great. After putting it on the cooling sensation and minty smell was great, letting it dry for 20 minutes I scrubbed it off, the large granules in it are abrasive so scrub lightly. My face has never felt so clean! $25 does sound expensive just for a face mask but I honestly don't know how I'm going to use it all in 2 months when it expires, the jar is huge! Decent

This product for sure clears all the gunk out of my skin, it really deep cleans! The minty tingle is a little over powering sometimes though, not very nice on my sensitive skin.

Good, but not the best.

You'll experience a refreshing, tingling sensation when using this mask. The mask smells great and leaves my face feeling like a baby's bottom. However, the only downside I could point out is that it's not an extremely potent exfoliator-- I've had better. But, for the price and the organic ingredients (not to mention handmade!), definitely try this out!
