Grown-up paint box!

This is a lot of fun! And yes, a very good deal considering what you get. I really have no need to buy any more color products for a year! The eyeshadows are all full-sized, for example. I find the eye colors very usable, not many brights, but some nice metallics. There are some very nice gloss colors, but they did pick up a plastic scent from the packaging - which wears off very quickly, the...read moren they don't taste like anything at all. The cheek stains are really good, rumored to be exactly the same formula as the full sized ones, and probably wearable by many skin tones as I can use all of them. The lumenizer is good for an evening look - it really brings out my cheekbones. The eyeliners are a bit smeary so I can't use them on my lower lids without looking like a racoon, but they stay forever on my upper lids. I like the nice full-sized brushes (eyeliner, and I'm not sure what the other is for, but have been using it for shadow) but the two foam applicators are a bit cheap.

Terrific value

I bought this mainly for the eyeshadows, and this is well worth the price for the eyshadows alone! The top level of the palette contains a beautiful selection of mostly shimmery, neutral eyeshadows (nothing dark or dramatic) containing purples, browns, golds, beiges, blues, silver/greys, a pink, a khaki green, and a peach. They apply and wear well. The second level contains glosses in a nice...read more variety of reds, berries, nudes, golds, peaches, and pinks. About half are frosty/sparkly. They are thick but not sticky, and the staying power is decent. They have a bit of a plastic-y scent and taste. I have mixed feelings about the third level. The cheekstains are gorgeous and work well as lip stains too. You get a reddish-pink, a peachy-pink, a berry-pink and a plum. I wish the cheekstains were larger and they'd passed on the eyeshadow primer (doesn't work for me) and luminizer (too yellow-toned and sparkly). The gel-liners are nice and apply well with the included eyeliner brush. You get a basic black, deep purple, shimmery aubergine, and shimmery bright green. The lipsheers apply and wear like a traditional lipstick. There is a pinky-brown and 2 darker berries. The eyeliner brush is pretty good, the shadow brush is okay (if a little stiff), and the dual-ended lip brush and foam-tipped eyeshadow applicators are tiny and I never use them. Sure, there are a few items/shades I'll never use, but all in all, this is a terrific value for the price, and a good introduction to the Tarte brand.

LOVE!

you get SO MUCH for what you pay. the eyeshadows are silky and blend well, and the cheek stains rock. theres also 4 awesome gel eyeliners along with a liner brush. its so great its hard to explain

GET THIS!

This kit is incredible! The colors are completely wearable for almost any skintone and the package is adorable. What you might not be able to tell is that the shadows are full sized. This is a great value and easily the first thing I reach for in the morning when I put on my makeup. The ONLY complaint I have is that there is nothing in or on the packaging that tells you the names of the indivi...read moredual colors. I'd like to know what my faves are so that I can buy more of them when I run out. Other than that, I'd say BUY this before they are all gone!
