I really like this lipstick. It goes on soft and isn't drying to my lips. I do have to give a a few swipes before you notice the color but that helps me not put too much. This color looks great with my medium brown complexion. Its not too obvious but gives a hint of color.

Pretty good, but not great

This wasn't great, but it was good. Its flaws were minor; leaving color when I touched things with my lips, showing creases, and feeling a little sandy. All problems that were not terrible, but still there, despite not being serious. There's probably better for the price.

Performer Ready!

Okay, so for your every day lipstick, the cost is not reflective of the product. Don't expect this to stay on while drinking that glass of wine, nor last through that ten hour work day. BUT if you are expecting to be sweating buckets or are under hot lights, this stuff will stick to your lips no matter what! Also, Photo Finish is true to its name sake; for whatever reason, the color of these lipsticks come out well in digital photography. The product is thicker than normal so in the short term of a few hours, lines do not appear on your lips. This is a good choice of lipstick for that few hour event or for performers.

my favorite shade!

of red ever is 'legendary' in this line! if you want ultra-smooth and silky lipstick go for this! high pigment and true-to-color shades. i love this shade. its the perfect pin-up red. i also like the very subtle scent that lipsticks dont usually have. (that icky waxy smell/taste) the only downfall is that you do need to re-apply. does not wear as long as id like.

Great Impulse

This was a total impulse buy, selected because the deep red color was beautiful in a satin finish. It was light enough that felt nice going on, slightly creamy. I guess thats the "sila-silk" that makes it feel somewhat moisturizing. I loved the look, but have to keep applying thoughout the day. Really creamy

I was in a makeup bind when I forgot to take my lipstick with me to an event (I gotta have it for touch-ups!) so I stopped at my local Shopper's Drugmart to see if I could pick up something cheap in a similar nude tone to my Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bettina. The colour hugged my lips and did make them feel very moisturized. However, the colour selection is pretty standard and so are the different textures. I don't regret the purchase but there's was nothing outstanding or special enough for me to buy another one. It was a little pricer than I wanted to spend and if I'm going to spend over $20 I'd rather stick to Nars. Overall, it's not a bad buy if you're a Smashbox fan.
