The Multi-tasker!!!
You can use this stuff for anything, for chapped lips, dry skin, to make eyelashes darker, for your cuticles, or even a small dab in your hair to prevent flyaways. Petroleum product = oil drilling
This is a petroleum product, which means its made from oil drilling by-products. Not very natural and green for my taste. I'd rather use a plant oil instead of this, wouldn't you too? It has many uses however, especially medical uses, for treating severely chapped lips and dry skin, and believe it or not, it is classified as non-comedogenic, which means it does not clog pores nor cause acne. alth...read moreout if you have very oily or acne prone skin, any occulsive (barrier forming) product eventually can cause breakouts as you probably have experienced. It also has many beauty uses, for example creating a dewy look or shiny eyelids, but for an oily skinned gal, they're not looks that I sport too often. It removes the most stubborn makeup, but you need to use so much soap to rinse off everything. This is a money saver, use it as a lipgloss, lipbalm, cuticle cream, put on dry patches, great for babies behind. Everyone should have a jar at home and a small one in their purse. Holy Grail!!!
My mother has sworn for years by this stuff. I always laughed at her getting ready for bed - she would be slicked up with Vaseline from feet to face! Then I started to use it on my feet at night and cover them with some thick socks - boy did that chase away my dry cracked heels. You can put this in so many beauty categories! My favorite usage is after a pedicure I goop on a very good coating of Vaseline on my feet and put heavy socks on. I also love using this on my elbows if I ever feel any scratchiness. It softens like no one’s business! It removes make-up, softens cuticles, and in a pinch you can use it on the ends of your hair. Heals chapped lips and so much more
I hadn't used this product in years because I'm not a fan of petrolatum as an ingredient. I am, however a fan of how quickly this healed my chapped lips. I had managed somehow, despite the fact that I'm a mad balmer,nto get my lips chapped. Nothing I tried seems to fully heal the irritated outside lip line. It was burning, slightly flaky and just sucked. As a last effort I slathered on some Vase...read moreline one night. Petrolatum? I didn't care. I just wanted my lips healed! Vaseline did the trick. My lips felt better the next morning and by the end of that day they were on their way to being back to normal. In two days time my lips were fine and pretty. I can say that I am now a fan of Vaseline when it's an emergency. It helps with minor burns and abrasions as well as places on your feet where new shoes have rubbed. While I am still not a fan of petrolatum as a whole, I will use it when needed and in small doses. Vaseline healed my chapped lips and came through for me. Considering that, it can't be so bad. Multi-purpose
Vaseline is great for many things. Dry skin, chapped lips, burns, rashes, and even nose bleeds! My son tends to get a lot of nose bleeds and I asked his pediatrician what I could do to stop the bleeding. He actually told me to take a Q-tip, put a little Vaseline on it, and gently rub it inside his nose. It sounded weird but when I thought about it I have seen how fighters put Vaseline on their...read more cuts to stop the bleeding, so it applies to nose bleeds as well. So I did it to my son and It worked! Its gentle and smooth and I mean yea this stuff is a bit greasy but hey it works wonders! I don't mind the greasiness so much when it heals so many things so quickly.
