Multi-colored powder palette - 2718 "healthy glow bronzer" was streaky and "2717 natural glow pressed powder" was too glittery, "3869 light bronzer" was JUST RIGHT

As someone of Asian descent in her mid-30s with truly classic combination, acne-prone and somewhat sensitive skin, I'm always looking for powders and bronzers that don't call attention to the oiliness of my T-zone, that don't leave me looking dry and powdery, that don't settle into fine lines, don't cake around my acne scars/peeling skin, and don't irritate my skin or clog my pores, but instead le...read moreave a soft natural-looking glow. After having a good experience with another bronzer and face brightening powder from the PF line, I thought I'd give these a try. The 1st two did not do the job. While the 2718 bronzer has a slight shimmer to it (that I didn't notice when I bought it), it's not too bad and very, very subtle (I don't like seeing sparkles on my face as I work in a professional office environment, and this doesn't leave obvious sparkles). I used a kabuki to buff it on and found that it left streaks on my face. Maybe it had to do with the time of day (I applied it late in the afternoon). In any case, it was streaky on my cheeks even after trying to buff it with my kabuki. It was also a bit too dark for my NC35/NW30 skin - such that it did not look natural. I'll give it another try one morning and see if there's any difference after applying it directly after I put on face powder, and will report back. But this is most likely going back to the store. I give it 3/10 stars. Now, the "natural glow 2717 pressed powder" was the worst ever - when you buy it in the store, you don't really notice the glitter. But once I used the airbrush kabuki from PF (hard to find in retail stores now but available on online) to buff it on, I saw how big the glitter specks were and they left sparkles on my face. Then I looked at the pan and saw the big glitter specks had revealed themselves upon buffing the pan. This powder made my face look shiny and oily, not dewy with a soft glow. I had to buff on another face powder to combat the shine. Color-wise, it was fine for my NC35/NW30 skin and was not too light in color on my face. But this is going back to the store! I give it 1/10 stars (I'd give it 0 stars if I could!). Now the matte powders in this multi-colored line are GREAT - I used the "3869 light bronzer" with the bamboo kabuki from PF - it looked natural, wasn't streaky, had a nice matte finish that left my face looking just right - not too matte, not too shiny, just a soft finish to my face. I am so happy I found this! I am going to be using this instead of my NARS Laguna/Orgasm blush/bronzer duo!

    Great product but doesn't travel!

I have used this product for over a year and been happy with the look and coverage. I bought a second compact for my travel beauty kit. In less than 3 months, the "palette" of pressed powder completely disintegrated, rendering it useless. I wrote the company for suggestions of an alternate product but heard nothing. I'm disappointed but will look elsewhere for my next minteral powder product.

    Not for sensitive skin!

I had bought the green corrector; while it does do a good job covering up the redness, it left me with an itchy face! I wouldn't recommend it for those with a sensitive skin or a sensitivity to the ingredient/s in the powder.

    Used it for years!

This was a staple of my makeup bag for several years. I changed in favor of a less powdery finish, but this is great stuff. I used the light complexion combo, and it was great for shine control and giving my face a nice balanced look. Good price too.

    I have the green powder

I bought the green powder because I have some redness on my cheeks and chin. It seems to be working pretty well. It redness doesn't completely go away, but it does a good job making the redness less noticeable. It also feels good on, very light and its true that it doesn't leave your skin green, :)

    Looked bad.

It seems that I have had alot of bad luck with Physicians Formula face products, and this stuff is no exception. It looked terribly orange on me, and when your face makeup looks too orange it just throws the rest of your makeup off and makes things look terrible!I would say if you have skin like mine-very fair and neutral-look elsewhere.
