Smooth!
This is one of the first foundation primers I ever used, what seems like a lifetime ago! At it's inception, this was a revolutionary product-- and it has stood the test of time. I love the way this primer feels, and it gives a smooth "slip" to the skin which makes my foundation wear very well. I just wish it did a better job at controlling shine. I think there's a huge design flaw in...read more the packaging though, because once you work your way closer the the end of the bottle-- it's really hard to get it out with the pump. The primer sticks to the side of the bottle, causing waste if you don't feel like being creative enough to try to get it out. It's good, don't get me wrong. I love this product. As soon as I apply Smashbox Primer, my pores disappear and my skin becomes like satin. I have combination skin and this effects neither my oily or dry zones. Average, not worth the $$, sells for $50 where I live
I have used a number of primers in low and higher end price range. The one I have found to work the best is Clarins Perfect Touch and it is less expensive than Smashbox by about $10 or more at $29. t is a great find!! Stila had a 3 colour correcting primer which had no effect over a regular one .Lise Watier has an antiaging primer that is ok and $$, however their eye primer is the BEST EVER at about $23. Love! Great on Sensitive Skin! Excellent in Floridian Summer Heat!
I have tried several primers already. Either they felt super heavy, made me feel like I was just layering gobs and gobs of spackle onto my face, or they made me broke out, or they just plain rolled off my face when I tried to put any foundation on. But this stuff lives up to all of its claims. Recently I went on a medication that made my face break out like mad. So I have a lot of blemishes and da...read morerk spots and uneven skin to cover up. I just received a sample of this, and I was really hesitant to try it because of my prior track record with primers. Plus today was really hot, like makeup melting off your face hot. I went ahead and tried this anyway, and boy am I happy I did! It smoothed onto my skin, creating a a wonderful blurred effect. But best of all, it felt really great on my skin. I have patches that tend to get angry and stingy and flaky. Some primers and foundations make those patches even angrier. This actually made them feel better! Hallelujah! So I went ahead and put my foundation on over this. I used Revlon 24 hour liquid makeup, and put it on with a sponge. The primer helped it go on evenly, and after I was done, you couldn't see a dang pore on my face. I only needed to apply a little concealer under my eyes and on two or three pimples, which is WAY fewer than I have. Like I said, today was extremely hot. I had errands to run, and I walked my dog, but every time I checked my face, it was like I hadn't sweated at all. This stuff is a life saver. I am going to buy a full size of this for sure. The claim is that it provides a perfect base for a foundation for a flawless natural look. After using I saw fewer/smaller pores, a more refined texture, and somewhat fewer fine lines and wrinkles. I would recommend this. Aside from the benefits of helping your skin’s textural appearance it does let you use less of your other product, and if you have a $60.00 foundation like me, you will like that. I should mention that there are some of these that have a tint to them. My new go-to product!
I love anything to do with beauty and wanted to revamp my collection after being inspired by magazines and advertisements for new products. It is my new go-to product! Smashbox did a great job of making a makeup product that goes on smooth and lasts for a long time without creating any smudging or melting off. Not only does the primer feel great on my skin, but it also makes my face look flawless in photos! There are no more dark circles under my eyes being seen and the primer does not make my sometimes-sensitive skin brake out! This was very important to me in a beauty product seeing that other brands have made this happen before. There were no blemishes or red spots to be seen on my face. Smashbox primer
Here's a product I recently purchased and like a lot so darn I didn't give it 10 stars because I haven't worn it long enough. Although since I've been using it, I love how my foundation stays on all day without having to reapply. I give that an A+ I love how it goes on leaving your face silky smooth without feeling greasy and oily. Smashbox primerwasnt good for my very oily skin

LOVE IT!
Best foundation primer out there! to start with its oil free! It feels very light on the face and a little can go a long way. it works great before any foundation but i would highly recommend applying Smashbox's very own studio skin hydrating foundation on top of it.
