Much like
Kaia Gerber earlier this week, Lila Moss is following in her supermodel mom's footsteps with a major new beauty campaign.
Moss was just announced as the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty — her first campaign for the brand (which was shot by David Sims) will launch October 11.
Moss' history with the brand goes
way back: In a press release, Marc Jacobs ( a longtime friend and collaborator of Kate Moss), recalled meeting the model for the first time back in 2008. "At just six years old, Lila's strong character and great beauty was already very apparent."
Jacobs also reminisced about the
déjá vu of meeting Lila on set back in 2011. "It was a bit surreal to have Kate in the studio with Lila as it brought back memories of the first time I met Kate when she was 18 years old and cast to walk for the Perry Ellis Spring/Summer 1993 Grunge Collection."
At any rate, Lila certainly looks stunning in this first preview from the campaign, with a
dramatic eye look created by makeup artist Diane Kendal using the
Marc Jacobs Beauty Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon in (Grape)vine, $24.
It's the circle of life, we suppose.
