It's not every day I'm in the presence of greatness, but recently I had the honor of sitting down with the great makeup artiste, Pat McGrath. In case you're not familiar with her, not only is she CoverGirl's celebrity makeup artist du jour, but Pat McGrath is as essential to Fashion Week as the models or the runways.

While Pat filled me in on all the looks and trends she dreamed up for Spring/ Summer 2012 Fashion Weeks in New York, Paris, London, and Milan, my mind (not-so-shockingly) wandered into wedding territory. "Can any of these runway makeup looks work for a bride?" I asked. Surprisingly, Pat said yes, in fact there are three looks in particular that are especially wedding-worthy. Which one would you wear for your wedding day?

Louis Vuitton's False Lashes
This look is ideal for brides who want all eyes on, well, their eyes! While the overall face is neutral, the eyes are dramatic thanks to layers of false lashes that create an almost doll-like innocence. Finish with a very light application of pink blush and a pink lip gloss.

Valentino's No-Makeup Makeup
If you're a girly girl, you'll love the soft, ultra-feminine quality of this look. The effect is a luminescent glow that's gentle and romantic. Shades of pink, gray, and taupe create a super-soft smoky eye and highlighter placed at the top of the cheekbones makes it look like you're always in candlelight. Black mascara on just the roots of lashes and brown on the tips makes your lashes look defined but still natural. Brow pencil makes a bold, defined brow, while a natural flush on cheeks and lips (try a berry colored lip and cheek cream) rounds out the angelic feel.

Christian Dior's Red Lip
For the bride who's drawn to vintage beauty, the perfectly matte red lips and strong brows here evoke classic Old Hollywood. Pat described this makeup as "a modern take on Dior's classic silhouette," refined, elegant, and ladylike. Taupe shadow and nude eyeliner give the eyes definition without looking too bold, since the crimson lip is the star of this look. Perfecting skin with a full coverage liquid foundation creates a porcelain-like canvas.

I think the no makeup look is perfect for a bride (and maybe just a hint of blush) because she will undoubtedly get hot and sweaty and this look will not show it as much as a fully made up face. These looks are great!
