As usual, most of the fall 2012 nail collections are filled with vampy burgundy shades, smoky grays, and deep forest greens. Not exactly ideal for the traditional bride hoping for a sheer nude or barely-there pink color. But, if you are looking for a new hue that you haven't seen on a million brides (I mean, who hasn't tried Essie's Ballet Slippers?) we've road-tested all the just-released lacquers with bridal potential. Check out our favorite new polishes that are the perfect balance of trendy-for-fall and bridal-appropriate. OPI Nail Polish in My Very First Knockwurst, $8
This white-based lacquer is the same shade as a sheer petal hue but the creamy formula makes it more opaque -- and more noticeable. It's ideal for gals who like pastels colors too, as the polish has a hint of lavender in its finish.
Essie Nail Polish in Good Morning Hope, $8
Part of Essie's Brest Cancer Awareness collection, this cotton-candy pink is feminine and romantic. If your wedding has powder pink accents (think peonies) this might be the perfect hue to tie everything together.
Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer in Modern Love, $16
If your wedding theme includes shades of taupe and beige, this is a great choice. The creamy mauve color is edgy without being too bold and its perfectly on trend with the beige-gray blends.
RGB Hipp X RGB Nail Foundation in F4, $16
Nude is not a universal, "one-fits-all" color. Luckily RGB teamed with Hollywood manicurist Jena Hipp to release a collection of neutral polishes that work for all skin types. So if you are a bride with a darker complexion you no longer have to go with clear polish for a natural look.

Delicate polishes just enhance the delicacy of your hands and down. Good suggestions; wish we could see the colors more closely.

Agree--your wedding day is not the day to flaunt crimson or navy nails, no matter how chic your dress. A gentle color is dainty, flattering, and oh-so-romantic!
