There was a lot of speculation about when it would actually happen, but now, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are finally Mr. and Mrs. The couple said their, "I dos" during an intimate cliff-top ceremony on the uber luxurious Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson's private escape in the Caribbean. Sigh...

Pictures of the wedding are scarce at the moment, but we've heard we won't be left hanging too long -- evidently the happy couple allowed TLC to tape their nuptials for a wedding special. Is it just us, or does that sound familiar to anyone else?

We do know that the new Mrs. Lachey wore a strapless gown by Monique Lhuillier and kept her wedding hair accessories simple with a long, flowing veil. She also opted to keep her hair down and loose. "Vanessa's down 'do helps make her formal strapless gown work for a breezy beach wedding. It's a natural, easy hairstyle that makes her whole look the perfect combination of dressed-up and relaxed," says Diana Conte, stylist at Bumble and bumble Downtown Salon in New York City. But here's the thing: For any outdoor weddings -- especially cliff-top ones -- anything more than a slight breeze and your down 'do can end up looking, well, undone.

"For an outdoor wedding, long, loose waves are a natural fit with the setting, but the wind can be an unwelcome guest," says Conte. "If you do wear your hair down, take a front section on each side of the head, pull to the back and pin. This will help secure the hair a bit and will keep the pieces closest to your face out of your lip gloss." Good call, since hairy lips are not a look most brides aspire to.

"If you need a more anchored style, pull your hair back into a low side ponytail, secure with an elastic, then wrap the length around the base and secure with pins to create a loose chignon. If you have layers, leave the shorter ones out of the ponytail. This will give you the face-framing benefits of wearing your hair down without the risk of falling victim to gusty winds."
