    Good for very dry skin

I wandered over to the Lancome counter to get some help with my slightly dry and slightly uneven summer skin. I am fair-to-olive, generally normal-to-dry and in my mid/late 20's. Long story short, I was talked into buying this moisturizer (*along with the "dry skin" Confort product like - exfoliator, cleaner and toner). I do think that "Intense" and "Repair" are a bit misleading, as I wouldn't go ...read moreas far as to say it intensely repairs anything, and I'm not quite sure that this was the right product for me, however it definitely worked on my summery flaky skin and got rid of 80% flakes and dryness pretty quickly (I also exfoliate regularly - and you should too if you don't! - which takes care of some of the flakes and dead skin to beging with). I used it almost every day for about 2 months (summer). It is a bit on the "greasy" side - not really an oily kind of greasy, but just a little too slick and shiny. I also don't like that it doesn't have an SPF. It did nothing with my skin tone and didn't make my skin look any softer or healthier, but it definitely took care of the dry and flaky spots and simply moisturized my face well. It smells decent, is in a pretty jar, a little but does go a long way...but for $55, I don't think it's worth it. I actually prefer my Garnier Skin Renew over this, which is only like $13. I would just reccomend this moisturizer to someone who has very to extremely dry skin and is only looking for a product with the sole purpose of getting rid of dryness and nothing else...and has a nice pile of cash to spend on small jars or moisturizers.

    I LOVE this stuff!

It smells really good to me. A little goes a long way.... I've found that you get the best results by putting it on with a fondation brush - that way you don't get too much. But go by the Lancome counter and they will let you sample it and see if you like that smell or not....

Other products do a better job than this...

Lancome's Hydra Zen for dry skin does a better job of hydrating skin and diminishing the look of fine lines (from dryness). This moisturizer leaves an almost gritty feeling on the skin and a powdery look on my dark eyebrows! (The fragrance is okay, but again I like the Hydra Zen better...it's also $6 cheaper).
