Good stuff depending on your hair.

The pluses of this stuff are that it smells amazing, a little goes a long way and it adds a lot of texture and some good hold to hair. The negatives are that it is easy to go overboard and end up with sticky, greasy hair, it is a bit pricey, the holding power isn't that great, and it doesn't leave your hair touchable. I prefer using it when I have super short hair, but lately when I get short hair cuts I haven't been reaching for Manipulator. I don't know, I love the scent, but I feel like for that price it should do more. — 3 years ago

Great smell and hold~

This is a bit difficult to use at first, but you will get the hang of it. Be careful not to use too much, and warm it between your palms before applying sparingly. This has a strong coconut smell and gives my hair definition without making it crunchy like hair spray or slick like with gel. I have a layered, edgy cut and this is the perfect pomade to give my hair its finishing touch. Be careful not to go overboard

...go very very very easy on this product in terms of the amount you put in your hair. Very easy to go from texturized to greasy and heavy. I would imagine it would look pretty terrible on someone with very fine hair. Works well on updo hairstyles when you want to smooth down flyaways and little baby hairs and cowlicks, especially at the hair line. — 4 years ago

Tigi's Bed Head Manipulator is the only product that really keeps my thick wavy hair in place. You only need a little-use too much at a time and it gets too gunky-but if you rub it into your hands well and then rub it into your hair you can do anything with it. I really like this product. I just put a little bit in my hair each morning and add some texture. It smells fruity and amazing like a lot of tigi products. I started using Manipulator after I got my hair chopped off and I asked my stylist what that yummy smelling stuff was she was using on my hair. I have been hooked ever since. It really is perfefct for short cuts and getting that sexy "bed head" look. But I also use it when I am styling my hair not so wild. It totally lives up to its name! Also, my hair is pretty fine and it doesn't weigh it down or anything, as long as you use the right amount. After 35 years I now like my curly hair!

I disliked my curly hair most of my life. Eventually I thought it was okay. But now, because of Bed Head manipulator, I love my curly hair! I have tried almost every product to get the perfect curls and this alone is the bomb. With mousse my hair can feel brittle or look wet. Some frizz products just get rid of frizz and don't accentuate the curls. With this you don't even feel it in your hair and it looks totally natural. You only need to use about a nickel sized dollop for med long hair. I put it on when my hair is still wet, no blow dry and get perfect curls. A lot of times there are sales on manipulator like buy one, get one free, and that is when i stock up. But the little jar lasts me about a month and a half of everyday use. pefect for my super short doo..

I LOVE this product... as I am compulsive about my short hair. I have an uber-cropped pixie, but my hair very fien and tend to want to puff into a dandelion..YUCK!! I can apply a little of this to my shower damp hair and just mess it up a bit..and there it is..perfection. it leaves my hair hair shiny, chunky, defined, and full of personality. Another great perk of this product ir that it is reworkable...a big geal for those of us with super short hair. I only wash my hair twice a week, though i shower every day, and it's nice to let the mist from the shower ( or a water bottle) dampen my cropped locks, and I can just mess it up again!! It is a little pricey, but if you use it sparingly it will last for about 2 months.
