Be careful not to go overboard
...go very very very easy on this product in terms of the amount you put in your hair. Very easy to go from texturized to greasy and heavy. I would imagine it would look pretty terrible on someone with very fine hair. Good stuff depending on your hair.
The pluses of this stuff are that it smells amazing, a little goes a long way and it adds a lot of texture and some good hold to hair. The negatives are that it is easy to go overboard and end up with sticky, greasy hair, it is a bit pricey, the holding power isn't that great, and it doesn't leave your hair touchable. I prefer using it when I have super short hair, but lately when I get short hair cuts I haven't been reaching for Manipulator. Great smell and hold~
This is a bit difficult to use at first, but you will get the hang of it. Be careful not to use too much, and warm it between your palms before applying sparingly. This has a strong coconut smell and gives my hair definition without making it crunchy like hair spray or slick like with gel. I have a layered, edgy cut and this is the perfect pomade to give my hair its finishing touch. Bed Head Hair
Tigi's Bed Head Manipulator is the only product that really keeps my thick wavy hair in place. You only need a little-use too much at a time and it gets too gunky-but if you rub it into your hands well and then rub it into your hair you can do anything with it. One of my favs
I absolutly love manipulator. I have thick heavy hair, so I cocktail it with a product like agadir oil and smooth it all over. It helps create great separation and movement. (If you hair is fine or not very thick, you need to use it sparingly. Really good stuff
I really like this product. I just put a little bit in my hair each morning and add some texture. It smells fruity and amazing like a lot of tigi products. As i've heard from the other reviewers, it is really important not to go overboard or you could end up with sticky, greasy hair. Bed Head Manipulator
I started using Manipulator after I got my hair chopped off and I asked my stylist what that yummy smelling stuff was she was using on my hair. I have been hooked ever since. It really is perfefct for short cuts and getting that sexy "bed head" look. But I also use it when I am styling my hair not so wild. It totally lives up to its name! Also, my hair is pretty fine and it doesn't weigh it down or anything, as long as you use the right amount. excellent for flipping, piecey look
I use this product when I flip my layered hair. It holds well and looks great, although you need to be careful not to use too much. It brushes and washes out well. After 35 years I now like my curly hair!
I disliked my curly hair most of my life. Eventually I thought it was okay. But now, because of Bed Head manipulator, I love my curly hair! I have tried almost every product to get the perfect curls and this alone is the bomb. With mousse my hair can feel brittle or look wet. Some frizz products just get rid of frizz and don't accentuate the curls. With this you don't even feel it in your hair and it looks totally natural. You only need to use about a nickel sized dollop for med long hair. I put it on when my hair is still wet, no blow dry and get perfect curls. A lot of times there are sales on manipulator like buy one, get one free, and that is when i stock up. But the little jar lasts me about a month and a half of everyday use.
