Sephora Ultra-Shine Lip Gloss Reviews

Luscious Lips!
Sephora is truly offering a bargain with their "Ultra-Shine Lip Gloss" ($14.00). It comes in demure shades, like "Vintage Pink" (a muted rose) to "Golden Scarlet" (candied red with gold shimmer) and "Sweet Mauve Sparkling" (a vivid, glittering pinkish-purple). No matter what your taste is, there are several colors you'll love. The "shiny" finishes are just that--pure, sumptuous gloss. But Sephora offers "Shimmering" (opalescent) and "Reflex" finishes (ultra-opalescent and jewel-like). This gloss stays longer than you would ever expect one to remain in place (using a lip brush will help with wear and application). The feel is cushiony and buttery--never tacky or sticky. It has a soft, doe-foot applicator and a scent that is never overwhelming, just uplifting. So buy yourself one, two, or more for refreshing colors that will make you--and those whom you see--smile! — 6 days, 7 hours agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Former Favorite
This is a really great lip gloss. It has an excellent texture, scent and flavor and I always felt it had just the right amount of sparkle. It comes in lots of great shades (07 was my favorite). Unfortunately it does contain gluten, so when I found out I have Celiac disease I had to throw mine out and I can't buy them anymore. But if you don't have any issues with gluten, I highly recommend this product. I've given many as gifts to friends who also love it! — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

great gloss
I was surprised how long this lasted. Didn't have to constantly reapply like most glosses. The color is great. The current picture doesn't reflect this but the wand is an hourglass shape now and it makes applying without a mirror easy. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

More Pigment, Please
First off, I'm a lip gloss addict. High shine or healthy shine, I'm all for it as long as it doesn't look like I have saliva drooping over my lips. Now this is one of the best formulas I've felt on my lips but not necessarily the best in lip gloss selection at all. Firs of all, don't you love how rich and lovely those shades look inside the tube? I do. Too bad they lack all of that when it's applied. As soon as I apply it to my lip, I see that it's hardly tinted but it is glossy. So here goes, one more layer. Ok, more color but now I see an even amount of color spread out and I feel like I'm wearing too much gloss. But the formula is light weight, super light weight. It's non-sticky so I don't have to worry about my hair getting stuck on my lips anytime soon and it smells light, not strong at all. I also noticed it didn't chap my lips after a period of time. So far so good other than the lack of pigment. The price for this? Could be so much better by lowering it a $5.00 US bill or two because honestly, it's not the best in the market but it will perform just as well as a drug store brand but not necessarily better. The closest equivalent to this that I can say from my own personal experience is a Bonne Bell lip gloss or a Cover Girl one but even Cover Girl seems to have better color pay off compared to this. Come on Sephora, get it moving! You've got work to do... — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

So upset!!
I bought this gloss and fell in love immediately!! I used this gloss everyday!! It gave me enough shine and moisture!! The only problem was it evaporated!! I stopped using it for a few weeks and I had half a tube left!! I went to use it again and there was nothing left!! I kept in my bathroom on the sink so there was no reason for that to have happened!! Disappointing!! — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

#13 Hot Pink
I picked this up on a whim without even testing it. It just looked so pretty in the tube that I couldn't resist. Back home, I tried it out and it looked absolutely gorgeous on my olive-skin complexion. One swipe was enough for the daytime. For evening though, I usually layer it over any pink lipstick. This color #13 really works wonderfully with a wide range of pink lipsticks, lipstains, or even other lipglosses. That's not mentioning how gorgeous it looks by itself. I believe that it also flatters almost all complexions. There's a subtle smell of a certain fruit (I can't quite place my finger on it just yet). It smells quite pleasant actually but for those who are put off my fruity fragrances in their lipgloss, don't fret, the smell dissipates after a couple of minutes. The doe-foot applicator is excellent for on-the-go retouching. Basically, this is my Holy Grail of hot pink lipglosses. That said, Sephora has unfortunately decided to change my precious #13 from a gorgeous hot pink that flatters every complexion, into a light coral with golden flecks. It barely shows up on my pigmented lips so I have to really layer it on. The same pleasant smells is still there. The doe-foot appicator is still the same. The color is not ugly. It's just in a completely different color range. Just to be clear, the 10 stars go to the original hot pink ultra-shine lipgloss, and not to the coral pink. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

nice alternative to more expensive brands
i was trying to find a cheaper version of my pink NARS gloss. i got #06, and it's not QUITE as nice as the NARS (less "glossy"/shiny, not as much pigment), but for such a big price difference it's worth it! they also give you a lot more gloss for the price, so it's an even better bargain. it does smell a lot better than the NARS gloss, so that's a plus. also, there's such a wide selection of colors, you're bound to find something you like. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
