So far so good
I have been a faithful "face wash" user for a long time, but now that the weather is turning cooler and dryer, I wanted to switch to a different cleansing method for my very sensitive skin. I chose dove because I liked that they had a sensitive skin option, and that it had a high moisture content to the bar, and of course, the price was very low. My skin has recently been irritated and rough, but after using this soap once, I truly felt a difference. I liked that the scent was fresh and light, and that the soap produced a really creamy, luxurious lather. It did a good job of removing makeup, and was not irritating at all. It felt very smooth on my skin while I washed. It rinsed away very nicely, and did not leave my skin feeling like it had a film on it, or sticky, like so many other soaps can. My face truly felt completely clean, but not at all stripped, after I rinsed and dried, and I have noticed since I started using this that my skin is much softer than it was when I was using facial wash gels. Over the past few days I have also noticed that my skin has stopped breaking out, and is also becoming much smoother and softer. My skin tone also appears to be evening out. I cannot wait to see how much better conditioned my skin will be in a week or so. I plan to continue using this soap and am so pleased that I decided to try it. You really can't beat the price and how gentle the soap is to the skin. I don't usually like to use soap on my face, but this one is definitely a cut above the rest. Not very exfoliating
I've used Dove beauty bar in White, Pink, Cool Moisture as well as the one for sensitive skin. Even though I usually use body wash or shower gel to clean my body, Dove is my favorite soap. So much so that I bought a value pack of Dove Gentle Exfoliating Beauty Bar. This Dove soap has very tiny blue beads. I am very used to exfoliate with regular body scrub, both salt- and sugar-based, so their beads are too soft and too few. If your skin cannot take a regular body scrub, this bar of soap may work as a very gentle exfoliator. But for me I need bigger and more exfoliating granules. Just like all other Dove soaps, this soap cleanses gently without drying out my skin or leaving no residue. Gentle and effective
I wash with a body wash on a day-to-day basis, but I bust out this soap when I'm feeling really grungy, like when I've been hiking or at the beach. This soap effectively strips off all the sunscreen (and the layer of dirt that's usually stuck to it) and leaves me feeling fresh and clean without drying out my skin. So Gentle
I use this to wash my face in the morning, when I don't have any makeup to remove. I love how it doesn't dry my skin out in the slightest, and how it hasn't affected my mild adult acne in any negative way. I have issues with irritaion from time to time (love trying new products too much), and this usually clears the problem right up. I love how I don't have to rush to apply moisturizer the second my face dries after using this, too - that's such a plus! I've always been a fan of dove soap and I have to say this is their best soap yet. I'm big on exfoliation and have always used loofahs and pads of all sorts. Though I will always have my loofah obsession for that real scrub, I have been able to use this soap instead for most days of the week and it really does exfoliate your body leaving it soft, moisturized and smooth. Besides the fact that is does what it says, it also smells absolutely amazing!!! It's ok
