Nars Body Glow

I first saw this on a Brazilian model during a fashion show. Immediate thought: I can have her gorgeous, tan skin, too. After warming the partially solidified oil with water, I rubbed it all over, hoping to be an instant bronze goddess. Instead, the shimmery color was sheer (duh: "Glow") and rubbed off on my white dress. (Booo.) The coconut fragrance enchanted as the oil moisturized skin. Some use it to add shine to hair, but too much makes strands look oily.

    PROPER APPLICATION TIP:

    Pretty great

If you already have a tan this enhances it and gives you that extra glow, and if you're fair skinned it gives you great color and shimmer without making you look orange . Like other reviewers have said though, be careful! I think I got a little too excited to use it an put on perhaps more than I should have and ended up getting embarrassing stains on a while sun dress. If you're planning on being out in the sun too long don't put on a lot because it tends to sweat off a little. Give yourself a little time between putting it on and getting dressed. Other than that it's a wonderful product and smells amazing! February 22, 2008, 9:48 am

    Good product, but be careful.

Like any "bronzer", I am careful to apply it and try not to wear light clothing with it. I use it most after I have been on the beach. I know some people who use this as a tanning oil, but I say this with caution- it doesn't have SPF. It smells amazing and I especially like how it makes my skin appear shimmery without looking like I took a bath in glitter. January 22, 2008, 11:25 am

I've given Nars products many, many shots. This I would say is the worst of the bunch, I don't like the smell at all and it rubs off on everything. It also solidifys in cold and must be soaked in warm water to soften. I got rid of a whole bottle of this, 2 multiples, the 'o' blush (this won't let you post that word:) -all b... it's all in how you apply it

    by luxegirl (10 reviews)
The most important thing is that you warm it up first. You do this by warming up the bottle..turn the warm water on and submerge the bottle for a minute or two, don't add the water to the contents to dilute it. The water will break up the product. I love the way it smells and goes on. It isn't too greasy and gives just the right sheen and color and bronze. Wouldn't suggest putting it in the hair, however. But great for a night out. Love it but....

    by SexyMthrPucker (4 reviews)
as the other reviewers have stated, it doesn't dry and tends to get everywhere. I think you either love or hate the fragrance of it (I love it personally). It does give you a great glow and works much better if you apply immediately after showering. I would definitely buy this again, but use caution when wearing. :) June 2, 2008, 10:02 am

Smells great, moisturizes, not a bronzer

    by Chaniders (1 review)
This oil makes you think that it gives yoiur skin some bronze shimmer, but it basically just acts as a moisturizing oil, that smells great, but the shimmer is so sheer that it just looks like shiny oil rubbed on your skin. November 7, 2008, 9:09 pm
