Just as great as the high end brands
I absolutely love the NYX photo-loving primer. I would say it's comparable to Smashbox photo finish primer except a quarter of the price. I purchased this primer at Ulta for under $15 and they usually have a buy one get one half off on all NYX cosmetics which makes me ALWAYS buy something else. I use less than a dime size amount for my cheeks, forehead, chin and nose. The consistency is great;...read more I would say it's as soft as any other primer, doesn't cake up when you rub it between your hands, and feels great going on my skin. The packaging says it will give you a smooth complexion which I believe; it keeps that barrier between my skin and face like all primers do and smooths out my skin so I can apply the rest of my makeup. The packaging is also similar to Smashbox's photo finish primer and is easy to squeeze out. I was a little frustrated when I first opened it and squeezed some out because it came out like oil but I closed it up, squeezed it a bit and shook it and it came out in the same way it usually does. The cool thing about this packaging and all the packaging that squeezes out is when you're on the last bit of it and can't get it I always cut the top off and use a Q-tip to get the rest...I get my money's worth and I don't waste any. As with all other NYX products, I highly recommend this primer if you want a decent priced primer that does what it says. NYX cosmetics are my favorite out there because they are well priced, have great pigmentation, and they do what they say. Very nice primer in green.
