Not Impressed - Avoid if you have Acne or Oily skin!

These products, in my opinion, leave a lot to be desired. While the facial exfoliator does a good job sloughing off dead skin without drying, it stung my skin and had a very strong lemongrass smell that was off-putting. The body scrub smelled wonderful. I am a fiend for coffee. I tend to judge beauty products on whether I want to eat them or not, (silly, I know,) and this one certainly passed ...read morethat test. I used this scrub on my chest and thighs, the chest so I could see the results, my thighs and other places because this felt so luxurious I wanted to use it everywhere. At least going on, this felt like an expensive spa treatment. But, and this is a big but, the next day the areas I used this on were irritated (my thighs) or flaky (my chest.) I doubt I will use this product again, despite the yummy scent and luxurious texture. As for the face oil, I threw most of it away. I used a few drops as per the directions. I rubbed it on my face after the shower when I used the facial scrub. A little went a long way, and my face did feel hydrated. But the next day, my face was badly broken out and much more oily than it has been in years. I wish I hadn't used this product.

Unique Find

Discovering this product was a fun surprise. Everything from the trifold packaging to the unconventional ingredients made me want to try the products. My first impression - they smell absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was the face oil. I've used it for 5 days now and my skin is radiant. The package is small sample size, but a little goes a long way.

Scrubs and Facial Oil

I am a big fan of this facial scrub, which is very fine so it didn't irritate my sensitive skin. I didn't know how I would feel about the coffee scent, but it was not overwhelming at all. The body scrub was a bit courser and really got a nice layer of dead skin off. My favorite was hands down the facial oil, which smells amazing- it smelled a bit like lavender. You only need a few drops and I recommend applying to damp skin. My skin looked dewy and youthful immediately!

Unique but that is about it

I have never heard of this brand until I received this sample trio to review here so I was a bit excited ...but I am not impressed .The cleanser was ok, easy to use and seemed gentle enough. As a cleanser it did the job but I was only able to use it once so I can't say much about using it long term. It has lemongrass and neroli oils which is nice. It contains granules that are a bit too large for me, since I have sensitive skin I know this I won't buy. The face oil was probably my favorite product as far as the application and smell, also it made my skin look good and healthy. However, I do have acne prone skin and I had some new breakouts while using it (2 day supply) but I am not sure if it was caused by the oil or something else, it could have been a coincidence but I am not sure I will take the chance and buy the full size. The packaging is beautiful and all of those products have some unique ingredients that I have never heard of, such as african kola nut and trichilia oils, mongongo nut oil, and others but I feel like this may not be for my skin.

Pore cloggers.

I couldn't tell that it did that much for me. It smelled weird and looked gross. The face polish, face oil, and body scrub contain pore clogging oils. These natural oils are not non-comedongenic. I would not recommend these products if you are at all prone to acne or have sensitive skin.

Body Scrub and Face Oil Bliss

When I used the sample of this body scrub, I was very very tempted to order it immediately. It doesn't overwhelmingly smell of coffee, which I was wary about. It smells incredible to me, coffee/chocolate/something else I can't place. Super great at scrubbing as well, made my knees and elbows soft without feeling like I was removing a layer of skin. The face oil is wonderful as well. I've tried it without my other skincare products (toner/moisturizers etc) and haven't noticed any dryness or oily skin from it not absorbing. The directions don't lie either, a little goes a LONG way!

Excellent Products

These three products samples were wonderful. The facial polish and body scrub does an awesome job of removing dead skin, smoothing your skin and invigorates you. The moisturizing oil deeply penetrates your skin and does not leave your skin oily. Very pleasing scents.

Great Product!

I enjoyed relaxing in a nice bath while trying this product. I enjoyed the light scent of coffee. I was the perfect amount of scent for something I apply to my face. Great Natural Products

I was a big fan initially of the nyakio packaging. It is very clean and simple, I was then impressed when I realized the ingredients were also exactly that. This Trio includes a kenyan coffee face polish, kenyan coffee body scrub and hydrating face oil with kola nut. The scrubs were great- super fine so they did not irritate my sensitive skin. The face oil however smells so amazing and calming (must be the lavender) and my face felt silky smooth and dewy after use. There is definitely enough face oil for 4+ uses.
