The PONDS Luminous Finish BB+ Cream has a very light and creamy texture to it, it feels very similar to a tinted moisturizer in my opinion. It applies, blends, and also spreads very easily and without any effort at all. Since the consistency is very light and creamy, it feels very smooth and actually hydrating when it's being applied onto the face. I've applied this product with my fingers, brush,and sponge blender and all 3 ways this product applied very easily. The product does not have any shimmer at all but it's not completely matte, it does offer a bit of luminosity to the skin, almost like a glow; if you have oily skin I would suggest setting with a powder to avoid the look of oiliness or shine. The product does dry within a reasonable amount of time and you can apply more product on to build coverage, because this is a BB cream therefore one layer will give you a natural look but you can add another layer or do some spot applications for added coverage. Also, a little bit of product is really all that you need and you can keep adding on more for needed spots like imperfections and dark circles. In terms of staying power, the product lasts all day for me without any fading even in the days where we have 100+ degree weather. Since I have oily skin (and certain dry spots) I do set this cream with a powder and do have to touch up with blotting sheets or setting powder, after about 8 hours which is completely understandable. Also, this product does have a frangrance, reminds me of all other PONDS products which is a very fresh almost floral but does go away within time. I can honestly say that after using this product for a few weeks I have noticed redness in certain area minimize, and within 1 month of using this BB+ cream I have noticed my skin tone is appearing to even out just bit, which is amazing and I never thought a BB cream here in the US could do something like this. I am completely sold on the PONDS Luminous Finish BB+ Cream and I don't see myself switching over to any other BB Cream or foundation any time soon! I love the way it feels, love how easy it is to apply, love how it makes my skin look very flawless, fresh, and natural! perfect for me

I bought this BB cream a few weeks ago planning on looking up reviews when I got home. I had been using Maybellines Dream Fresh BB cream as a foundation alternative for summer and it did not work for me at all. I have very oily skin and it turned me into an oil slick within about 15 min of application. Something about the Ponds caught my eye while at Wal Mart (plus it was only 9 bucks or so) so I ...read morepicked it up. When I got home I was shocked to find there were absolutely no reviews about it whatsoever! It was still an extremely new product when I got it. Since then I have been keeping an eye out and am shocked that more people have not fallen completely in love with it as I have! This cream has a wonderful texture which I think is quite creamy and smooth. When I first apply it (I bought it in medium) it doesn't look like a match for my skin tone but as long as I blend it in with my fingers it ends up somehow adjusting to my skin within a minute or two and making it look wonderful - glowy, or, I suppose "luminous" without being shiny or dewy. I warn, though - make sure to blend really good around the edges or you may get the dreaded "lines". It definitely is not full coverage - but who could expect that with a tinted BB cream? It evens out my skin wonderfully and if I have an active breakout I just apply a small amount of concealer to that area. Also it claims to improve overall skin tone over time. It may be coincidence but in the few weeks I have been using it my skin has begun to look a lot better and I have had much fewer breakouts. It may be simply because I have not been wearing makeup, only this. The smell is not bad, but not wonderful - however I don't see that there is any reason to complain about the smell when you can really only smell it for the first minute or two when applying the product. One thing I LOVE about this is the matte finish. Any girl with an oil control problem out there should at least give it a try if they don't like the shiny look. Now despite my love of the matte finish, the reason I took off one lippie is because it definitely does not last all day. However, compared to the usual 30 minutes that anything matte lasts on my face - including foundation, it does a wonderful job. I would say that indoors/in cool weather it lasts 3-4 hours. In the heat it pretty much doesn't stand a chance and fades after an hour or two. However even on days I have gone a full 8 hours or more without re-applying, it is very noticeable when I wash my face that it still provides a little bit of coverage even when it is not "fresh". Also, when I set it with pressed powder it lasts an hour or two longer in all weather conditions. In any case, I absolutely love this BB cream and would encourage others to try it. I will definitely be stocking up on it because it is so wonderful to get that confidence which a little bit of coverage will give without feeling like I am suffocating my skin with makeup (which just melts off me after a while anyway).

Good staple

I have combo skin that tends to get oily at the end of the day and, although I find this doesn't prevent shininess towards the end of the day, it does give my skin a balanced tone in the mornings without clogging my pores. So it gets a better than average score in my book.

Great product!

Perfect balance of smoothing and softening. I have combination skin and wears great on my dry cheeks as well as oily T-zone. I feel like it's a great balance as it's not moisturizing nor is it drying. The color is just the right shade too. It glides on very smooth like a primer and delivers a decent amount of coverage. It really is the best bb cream I've ever used but I have to give it a 9 because...read more it does smear in the hot muggy days (summer time in Tennessee) I think it works great on most other days though.
